Kerkoidia

Kerkoidia was a blue-gray planet^[6] located in the Kerkoidia system in the Kira sector the Expansion Region, in grid square N-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid^[1] The Kerkoiden species was native to the world, and the Kerkoiden male Whorm Loathsom^[4] served for a long time in its planetary defense forces. Loathsom eventually earned the rank of general with the Confederacy of Independent Systems.^[7] In addition to Loathsom joining the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Retail Caucus was headquarted on Kerkoida.^[8] After the Battle of Endor, the New Republic managed to liberate Kerkoidia from the Galactic Empire.^[6]

Behind the scenes

Kerkoidia was introduced in the current Star Wars canon in the 2015 reference book Ultimate Star Wars.^[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet was first mentioned in The Clone Wars Campaign Guide, a 2009 Wizards of the Coast supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.^[9]
