"What accounts for this drop in the Hadi system?"
"The D'Armin Syndicate attacked one of our supply ships yesterday. Word must have spread…"
"Have a battleship cut them off at the Feriae Junction. Take out their engines and weapons. After a day, have them pushed into the sun."
―Domina Tagge and her secretary Lapin Tagge[3]

The Junction system was located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and New Territories[2] along the Hydian Way[5] super-hyperroute,[6] which connected it to the Toprawa and Celanon systems.[5] Situated in the Thesme sector at the coordinates O-5 on the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] the star system had a sun[3] and the celestial body Feriae Junction.[4] In 3 ABY,[7] after the D'Armin Syndicate attacked a Tagge Corporation supply ship, Lady Domina Tagge ordered for a battleship to cut the syndicate's forces off at the Feriae Junction, where the syndicate's engines and weapons were to be disabled before they could be pushed into the sun after a day.[3]

A depiction of Feriae system in Star Wars Legends

The Junction system was first depicted in the current Star Wars canon on a map in the 2016 Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying sourcebook Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game.[5] The system was later identified as the "Junction system" in "Star Systems of the Galaxy,"[1] an appendix accompanying the Star Wars Galaxy Map, an article on StarWars.com featuring a map of the galaxy.[8] Both works were authored by Jason Fry and posted on June 24, 2025.[9]

It originated in Star Wars Legends as the Feriae system, which contained the planet Feriae Junction.[10] The system first appeared in the twenty-seventh issue of the 1977 Star Wars comic series, written by Archie Goodwin, illustrated by Carmine Infantino,[11] and published by Marvel Comics on June 26, 1979.[12] The Feriae system's name was first given in "The Hunt Within: Valance's Tale: Part 4," a Wizards.com roleplaying article that included "Mission 4: The Doom of Ultaar," a scenario which could be used for the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures game. Published on January 7, 2005, the article was authored by Jason Fry.[10]

The Feriae Junction was introduced in canon when it was mentioned in flashbacks in the sixth issue of the 2020 Star Wars: Doctor Aphra comic series,[3] written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics on November 25 of that year. The mention itself was also included in the issue's preview on StarWars.com a week prior.[13] No connection had been made in canon between Feriae Junction and the Junction system until Fry specified in an email that locations originating in Legends continuity could be considered to be in systems of the same name as they had in Legends.[4]
