The "Exclusive Fiction" section of Star Wars Insider is a recurring feature that either includes new short stories, or exclusive excerpts of upcoming Star Wars novels. It featured many Clone Wars short stories during the years leading up to Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith's release, but was put on hiatus after issue 88, only returning from issue 124 onward with new fiction, published under the heading "Exclusive Fiction." Excerpts of upcoming novels were sometimes published under the "Fiction Extract" header instead.
