"And Leebo Makes Three" is a short story written by Michael Reaves and Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff that appeared in Star Wars Insider 128. The story serves as a prelude for the novel Shadow Games.
Plot summary
Dash Rendar and Eaden Vrill purchase a navigational droid, Leebo, to assist them on their ship, the Outrider. It becomes evident that Leebo was previously owned by the Syndicate and carries a secret which both the Syndicate and Empire are eagerly trying to acquire, leaving Dash, Eaden, and Leebo firmly fixed in the crosshairs of Syndicate boss Hox Bilan. The crime boss has sent a band of thugs, including the Wookiee Kravengash, to pursue them and return Leebo to the Syndicate—by any means necessary.
