Reputation" is a short story written by
Ari Marmell that appeared in the magazine
Star Wars Insider 136 in September
2012. The story takes place
eight years after the
Invasion of Naboo and features the
bounty hunter Cad Bane trying to forge a reputation for himself.
Plot summary
In the story, Cad Bane has been hired by the Bothan crime boss, Akris Ur'etu, whose operations are being disrupted by a mysterious Jedi. As Bane tracks and observes this mysterious Jedi he learns that the "Jedi" is not all that he seems to be.
Following a confrontation with the "Jedi", Cad Bane discovers interesting and lethal miniaturized equipment; which he adds to his arsenal to further his pursuit of building his reputation as a Bounty Hunter.
