Nobody knows her name. Nobody knows when she will strike. All they know is that she is a deadly bounty hunter—and her latest mission has taken her to Coruscant, home of the Jedi.

Her target: an old friend of Qui-Gon Jinn's.

Qui-Gon and his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, make an attempt to catch her...and fail. Now they are her targets, too.

Plot summary

Didi Oddo, an information broker and longtime friend of Qui-Gon Jinn, runs a café in Coruscant’s Senate District. He finds himself the target of a mysterious bounty hunter. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are on the case. Together they uncover a murder mystery that implicates renown scientist Jenna Zan Arbor. As the Jedi close in on the answer, Qui-Gon is captured by the hunter.

Continuity

Another break in time occurred between this and the previous book, advancing the timeline by months and aging Obi-Wan Kenobi to fourteen. This marked the first appearance of Didi Oddo, who in the future sold his café to Dexter Jettster.[1]
