- "I'm unarmed! This is only a vibro-mop! I clean the base!"
- ―Jollo, when confronted by HK-55
A vibromop, or vibro-mop, was a mop that used an internal generator to make the mop head vibrate, making mopping easier. The vibromop combined the versatility of the vibroblade with the dependability of a mop.[1] It was often used in conjunction with a bucket.
History
Vibromops were invented in 3666 BBY by the scientist Reyne Flavius. After its creation, the vibromop would go on to become a vital hygiene tool in the galaxy. The vibromop also led to the development of the electromagnetic duster and the ion-charged dishrag, which based their design on the template of the vibromop.[1]
During Drooga's celebration commemorating his 600th birthday, a single vibromop became known for completing one of the greatest feats of sterilization in the galaxy. The vibromop successfully cleaned up after the party, despite being designed only for smaller household tasks. To celebrate the vibromop, which expired after the ordeal, Drooga's janitors held a private ceremony to honor the tool's heroic service.[1]
In 43 BBY, the innkeeper of the Soft Landings Inn, an inn on the planet Coruscant, used a vibro-mop to clean the place.
