"Can they make it to Gangi Moon?"
"If they ever make it out of here."
―Cassian Andor and the Ferrixian sentry Pegla[4]

Gangi Moon was a moon[4] located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] The moon was situated in[1] the Morlani system[1][3] of the Free Trade sector subsector of the Xappyh sector, which was in grid square Q-3 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

It was close enough to[4] the planet[5] Ferrix that it was reachable by a Breon Dayvan starship with a full fuel tank.[4] In 5 BBY,[6] in the aftermath of the Rix Road riot, which protested the Imperial control of the planet, the Ferrixian Jezzi piloted a Breon Dayvan carrying fellow Ferrixians Brasso, Bix Caleen, and Wilmon Paak, as well as the droid B2EMO, toward Gangi Moon. The group had participated in the riot and hoped that flying to Gangi Moon would let them escape the Imperial authorities. The fugitive Ferrixian Cassian Andor's instructions on how to get there included flying over Farside Sea.[4]

Behind the scenes

Gangi Moon was first mentioned in "Rix Road,"[4] the twelfth episode in the first season of the Disney+ television series Star Wars: Andor, which aired on November 23, 2022.[7] The moon was misspelled as "Ganji Moon" in "Most Wanted: Cassian Andor and Associates," an article written by Christopher Cooper and published in the 231st issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine[8] on April 29, 2025.[9] Author Jason Fry confirmed via email that the Gangi Moon was situated in the Ferrix system,[10] also known as the Morlani system.[3]
