Fountain Square

The Fountain Square was a large square located in the Ferrix business center. Rix Road culminated in this square and the main city hotel was located adjacent to it. As one of the most central locations in the city it was used for important events such as the Stone to the Sky ceremony of upstanding citizens' public funerals^[1] as well as executions which were usually accomplished by hanging.^[2] In 5 BBY, during former Daughters of Ferrix president Maarva Carassi Andor's funeral, a massive riot broke out between the funeral attendants and Imperial security personnel when Prefect Vanis Tigo violently interrupted the ceremony as it reached this square.^[1]
