- "Osha! Why didn't you come out last night? You missed a wild trip to Nar Shaddaa with the piloting crew."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
"What I do with my days off is none of your business, Fillik." - ―Fillik, to Verosha Aniseya
Fillik was a human who was born on the planet Kwenn around 158 BBY and spent much of his childhood around Kwenn Space Station. Not wanting to be influenced by Hutt crime lords, he became a meknek and came to work on the Trade Federation WD-2550 Whydah-class yield conveyer Fallon during the High Republic Era. In 132 BBY, he went for a night out on the moon Nar Shaddaa and chided fellow meknek Verosha Aniseya for not attending the next day. The pair then worked together on repairing the shield generator of the Fallon on the hull of the starship while it was in space.
As the pair worked, the ship's captain, Blex, called the mekneks disposable over comms without realizing they could hear him. After Aniseya responded, Fillik pointed out the issue with the generator and Aniseya began welding it, but this caused the pressure gauge that Fillik was watching to spike and resulted in a small explosion at the pressure valve nearby. Aniseya then dealt with the flames from the explosion before a Jedi Vector approached the Fallon, circling to dock as Fillik and Aniseya watched.
Biography
A path away from Hutt Space
Fillik and Verosha Aniseya got matching tattoos on Etti IV.
Fillik was a human born on[1] the planet[4] Kwenn on the edge of Hutt Space[1] around 158 BBY.[2] He spent much of his childhood in orbital space around Kwenn Space Station, giving him experience in microgravity environments. Not wanting his future dictated by a fickle Hutt crime lord, Fillik took one of the only avenues a human from near Hutt Space could take to advance beyond a lower-class lifestyle and parlayed his technical skills to become a meknek and travel beyond the confines of the region.[1]
By the time he was twenty-six[1] in 132 BBY,[5] Fillik had begun working with fellow meknek Verosha Aniseya, and after a rowdy night on the Corporate Sector[1] planet[6] Etti IV, the pair got matching tattoos. The tattoo consisted of two mirrored black rhomboids with an upward angle symbolizing EV activity, but Fillik kept its location a secret along with his first name.[1]
A night on Nar Shaddaa
- "What's the emergency?"
"Shield generator repairs."
"Trade Feds never use the shields."
"Maybe that's why they need it repaired." - ―Verosha Aniseya and Fillik
Fillik and Verosha Aniseya worked on the Trade Federation vessel Fallon.
In 132 BBY,[5] during the High Republic Era, Fillik and Aniseya were working on the Trade Federation WD-2550 Whydah-class yield conveyer named the Fallon.[1] He accompanied the ship's piloting crew on a wild night out to Nar Shaddaa,[3] a moon in Hutt Space.[7] The following day, Fillik encountered Aniseya in the corridors of the Fallon after an alarm sounded signaling there was a job for the mekneks. He chided her for not joining the night out, but she refused to reveal what she had been doing instead.[3]
The pair's conversation was interrupted when they had to step out of the way of a pair of Neimoidians who passed by them brusquely, after which Fillik informed Aniseya that the job for them was repairing the ship's shield generators. Surprised, Aniseya pointed out that the Trade Federation rarely used the ship's shields, which Fillik countered might be the reason that the generator needed repairs.[3]
Outer repairs
- "The emitter duct isn't connected to the field projector."
"Yep, I see it." - ―Fillik and Verosha Aniseya
Despite Galactic Republic legislation stating that only droids could carry out outer ship repairs, Fillik and Aniseya donned[3] spacesuits with magnetic boots[8] and exited the ship while it was in space via a small hatch onto the outer hull. They moved across the hull to the location of the shield generator and began their work on opposite sides, with Fillik pulling out his PIP droid. As they worked, the ship's captain, Blex, began complaining on the bridge about the repairs not being completed and then claimed the mekneks were disposable, not realizing that Fillik and Aniseya could hear[3] him[1] over comms.[3]
Fillik and Verosha Aniseya donned suits to carry out repairs on the exterior of the Fallon.
Aniseya responded over comms, claiming to be hurt and joking that while Fillik was disposable, she was not. Smiling, Fillik shook his head and sarcastically called Aniseya funny, then pointed out that the emitter duct was not connected to the field projector. Spotting what Fillik had pointed out, Aniseya used her PIP droid, Pip, to begin welding the parts together. As she did so, Fillik grew concerned as the pressure gauge began to spike, but as he tried to warn Aniseya, the pressure valve exploded nearby, causing Fillik to shout.[3]
Fire and Jedi
- "Friends of yours?"
- ―Fillik asks Verosha Aniseya about the Jedi
Sighing, Fillik explained the issue to Aniseya, who moved over to fix the valve, but momentarily froze upon seeing the fire from the explosion as she was haunted by a memory from her childhood. As Pip snapped her out of the memory with a beep, Fillik complained that she should stop messing around, after which she put out the flames.[3]
Fillik and Verosha watched a Jedi Vector approach the Fallon.
As the flames subsided, a Jedi Vector approached the Fallon, drawing Aniseya and Fillik's attention as it circled around to dock with the Trade Federation vessel. Watching it from the hull, Fillik asked if the new arrivals were Aniseya's friends, as she had previously been a member of the Jedi Order. After re-entering the ship, Aniseya was arrested by the Jedi and transferred onto[3] the DTE-CSA-17 Calaboose prison ship Palwick,[9] as she was mistakenly believed to have committed a murder in fact carried out by her twin sister, Mae-ho Aniseya.[3]
Personality and traits
- Blex: "The grease grubbers are disposable. Our cargo is not."
- Aniseya: "You know, we can hear you…"
- Blex: [Groans]
- Aniseya: "And, uh, frankly, I'm hurt. Because, Fillik is clearly disposable, but me on the other hand, come on."
- Fillik: "Very funny."

Fillik chose was unfazed by the dangers of being a meknek, chosing the life to get away from Hutt influence.
Fillik became a meknek to escape the influence of the Hutts on his homeworld[1] and was unfazed by the inherent dangers of working as a meknek, instead reveling at the unique opportunity to see the galaxy that traveling onboard the Fallon presented.[10] He found working in microgravity liberating[1] and had no qualms working on the ship's exterior despite the dangerous conditions.[11]
Fillik chose to keep his first name and tattoo location secret, suggesting a hidden history.[1] He did not coddle his PIP droid like Aniseya did hers[1] and jokingly called her wicked and smiled when she later referred to him as disposable. However, when she froze upon seeing fire, he told her to stop messing around.[3] Standing 1.8 meters (six feet) tall, Fillik had dark skin, brown eyes, and black hair, which he kept short to fit within his helmet.[1]
Skills and abilities
Fillik had technical skill and was experienced in working in microgravity environments.[1] He spoke Galactic Basic Standard.[3]
Equipment
While on board the Fallon, Fillik wore a green Ayelixe/Krongbing Textiles unisuit workwear jumpsuit[1] as a uniform[8] with black fingerless gloves[3] and black electrically grounded work boots. He kept his Pip unit in a side slung pocket that hung from a brown belt. While working in space, Fillik wore a dark red EVA suit with multilayered sealed gloves, a Pip unit holster, and a reinforced and articulated layer beneath orange elastic cord cinch loops on the legs.[1]
His space gear also included white magnatomic gription boots and a white helmet attached to the suit with a pressure-retaining neck seal. The helmet had a pivoting actinic work lamp attached and a reinforced breathing hose that led to a white unit on Fillik's back that housed a vital gasses status display indicator and a replaceable alga-scrubber convertor tube.[1]
Behind the scenes
Fillik was portrayed by Anthony J. Abraham in "Lost / Found,"[3] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired June 4, 2024 on Disney+.[12] The scenes on the Fallon were shot at Shinfield Studios,[13] England.[14] Concept art of Fillik titled "Repairs" was created by Adam Brockbank under supervision of production designer Kevin Jenkins.[15] The character's costume was designed by Jennifer Bryan and costume concepts drawn by Eleanor Barlow in 2022.[16] The 2024 StarWars.com Databank entry for Fillik lists his height as 1.78 meters,[10] but the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo, gives it as 1.8 meters (6 foot). This article assumes the newer source to be correct.[1]
