- "Oh, this is a PIP droid."
- ―Osha Aniseya
The PIP droid was a model of[3] handheld repair droid[2] utilized during the High Republic Era. One such droid, Pip, assisted the meknek Verosha Aniseya.[4] PIP droids were ubiquitous during the High Republic Era, but they lived difficult lives as repair units.[5]
Behind the scenes
Designer Jack Parker theorized that PIP droids do not appear after the High Republic Era in Star Wars media because of the tough lives they lived and the development of newer repair droids, which led to most PIP units being scrapped.[5]
