Klynan

Klynan was a terrestrial celestial body[4] located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice,[2] within the Klina sector's Klynan system. It was situated in grid square S-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] Klynan was situated along a hyperspace route that linked it to[1] the planets[5][6] Nar Kaaga[1] and Kupoh.[7]

Between 385 BBY and 382 BBY,[8] a job that the Evereni Path of the Open Hand member Yana Ro found unpleasant took place on Klynan. Following the job, Ro salvaged a slicer ring from a newer-line astromech droid.[4] In 382 BBY,[8] while undertaking a mission at Port Haileap[4]—an outpost on the Outer Rim planet Haileap[9]—Ro mentally recalled the job on Klynan as she sliced a lock using the slicer ring.[4]

Behind the scenes

Klynan was first mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[4] Phase II.[10] Within the novel, Klynan was mentioned in a chapter written by Ireland.[11]
