Between 385 BBY and 382 BBY,[2] a job on Klynan was carried out by the Evereni Path of the Open Hand cult member Yana Ro while she was a member of the Path's Children, a group of Path members who obtained Force artifacts on behalf of the group's leader,[1] Elecia Zeveron.[3] After the mission on the astronomical object Klynan, the Evereni salvaged a slicer ring from a newer-line astromech droid and came to view the job as having been "particularly nasty."[1] In 382 BBY,[2] while undertaking a mission at Port Haileap[1]—an outpost on the Outer Rim planet Haileap[4]—Ro mentally recalled the Klynan job when she used the slicer ring to slice a lock.[1]

The job on Klynan was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[5] Within the novel, the job was mentioned in a chapter written by Ireland.[6]
