"I can try again tonight."
"We better wait."
"She's just watching me all the time now."
"Everyone's nervous."
"My dad even tried and she wasn't having it."
―Beela and Wilmon Paak discuss Aneth — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

Aneth was a human female who owned and operated the Mina-Rau General Store on the planet Mina-Rau with her spouse, Kellen. She disapproved of their daughter, Beela, seeing the undocumented toolie Wilmon Paak and unsuccessfully urged her to stay away from him. In 4 BBY, the Galactic Empire began an Imperial Supply Census of Mina-Rau and Imperials visited the store, making Aneth nervous.

The next day, they returned, and Aneth put on a false smile for Imperial Lieutenant Krole when she spoke with him, although she sharply sent Beela inside when her daughter caught the lieutenant's eye. The Imperials then captured Paak's fellow toolie Brasso in front of the store and killed him before being killed themselves by Paak and Brasso's ally Cassian Andor.

Disapproving mother

"It's a long walk from the silos."
"That's 'cause her mother doesn't like me coming around."
"Why?"
"We're toolies."

Aneth ran the Mina-Rau General Store with her spouse, Kellen, and their daughter, Beela.

Aneth was a human[1] female[2] who owned[4] and ran the Mina-Rau General Store with her[1] spouse, Kellen,[2] on the agricultural planet Mina-Rau.[5] The couple had a daughter, Beela,[4] who aided them in the shop alongside a P1 adminmech droid[1] that Aneth owned.[6] Between 5 BBY and 4 BBY,[7] a group of undocumented toolies without visas or shares on Mina-Rau illegally settled down nearby to carry out repairs and befriended Kellen.[3]

Beela became infatuated with Wilmon Paak, a member of the group, but Aneth did not like him visiting her daughter at the store due to his illegal status[3] and urged her to stay away from him. To get around this, Beela would often find excuses during the workday to bring water or supplies to Paak,[4] who knew that Aneth disapproved of Beela seeing him. In 4 BBY, Beela brought water to Paak and his friend Bix Caleen while they were working in one of the fields, prompting Paak to explain to Caleen that Aneth disliked his and Beela's relationship.[3]

The fears of a parent

"Did they remember the juice?"
"Finally."

The Imperial inspections on Mina-Rau made Aneth nervous.

The following day, a pallet of supplies was delivered to the store and Aneth, Kellen, and Beela unpacked it. Kellen asked Aneth if the suppliers had remembered to include juice, which Aneth confirmed they finally had. Kellen then left to speak with the toolies about an Imperial Supply Census that the Galactic Empire had begun carrying out on Mina-Rau. By this point, Beela felt that Aneth was watching her constantly but hoped to try and visit Wilmon Paak that night after her mother had stopped her in the past, having done the same when Kellen tried to visit the toolies.[1]

A group of the Imperials later arrived at the store while Kellen and Aneth were there, and Kellen spoke with them as they looked over the available goods. Aneth kept to herself and began picking up produce from the store's shelves, giving Brasso—one of the toolies who was in the store shopping—a nervous look. Later that night, Kellen visited the toolies to tell them what he knew about the Imperial inspections, as the toolies were keen to avoid being arrested should the inspections reach them.[1]

Fears realized

"There you are. Where's the boss?"
"He's at the silos."
"I want these men fed. And, uh, save two meals. We'll be back in a bit."

Aneth stands out front of the Mina-Rau General Store as Imperial officers and stormtroopers move around her. In the foreground, Lieutenant Krole stands atop a troop transport.

Aneth greeted Lieutenant Krole when he arrived at her store.

The Imperials returned the next day while Aneth was at the store alone, and she exited with the P1 adminmech droid to greet them. Outside she spotted Paak's speeder, as he had come to say goodbye to Beela in the fields nearby before the toolies moved on to another area to avoid the Imperials. The Imperial Lieutenant Krole asked Aneth where Kellen was and, after she told him that Kellen was at the silos, ordered her to provide food to his men and save two meals for him and Corporal Pyke, who would be returning in an hour.[8]

Krole then left Sergeant Stang in command of the Imperials at the store as Beela arrived back from the fields. Aneth then ordered Beela inside the store when she caught Krole's eye, warning that she would not repeat the instruction when her daughter lingered. Brasso, who had returned to the store in search of Paak, was then captured by the Imperials and questioned in front of Kellen, who had also returned. In order to draw suspicion from Kellen and his family, Brasso accused him of turning in the toolies to the Imperials, which Stang fell for. Stang and several of the other Imperials at the store then left when Pyke called for aid over comms, but they were all killed when Cassian Andor—a toolie who had been offworld—arrived in a stolen TIE Avenger and fired on their troop transport.[8]

Kellen and Aneth stand together looking shocked in an entryway of the Mina-Rau General Store.

Aneth and Kellen watched in shock as Cassian Andor attacked the Imperials.

Aneth and Kellen ran to the store's entryway to watch as Brasso used the opportunity to flee into the fields, with the remaining Imperials chasing after him. The Imperials killed Brasso and then perished themselves when Andor opened fire on them in the TIE, killing the final three by bursting a grain silo above them near the store. Andor, Paak, and Caleen then left Mina-Rau together in the Avenger.[8]

Personality and traits

"Get inside. I won't tell you again."

Aneth disapproved of her daughter Beela's relationship with Wilmon Paak due to his status as an undocumented toolie.[3] She urged Beela to stay away from him[4] and her daughter began to consider her overbearing, although Paak believed it was due to the nervousness that everyone was feeling on Mina-Rau during the Empire's inspections.[1]

Beela stares sharply at Aneth on Mina-Rau, with grain fields and silos visible in the distance.

Aneth sharply ordered Beela inside when she caught Krole's eye.

When Imperials did visit the general store, Aneth stayed quiet and was visibly nervous,[1] although she greeted Lieutenant Krole[8] with a fake smile when he spoke to her. After Beela caught Krole's eye, Aneth ordered her inside with an underlying sharpness in her voice despite the smile she still showed publicly.[6] Aneth had light skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes.[1]

Equipment

Aneth wore a patterned red shirt with a darker red dress under a brown apron with brown boots.[8] She owned a shabby[6] P1 adminmech droid that helped in the store she owned with Kellen.[1]

Behind the scenes

Aneth was portrayed by Alison Pargeter in the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor, first appearing in "Sagrona Teema" and "Harvest," the second and third episodes of the show's second season,[1][8] both of which aired on April 22, 2025. On the same day,[9] the character was also indirectly mentioned in the season's first episode, "One Year Later,"[3] and although the character's name was not spoken in any of the episodes,[1][3][8] it appeared in the second- and third-episodes' credits.[1][8] The exterior Mina-Rau scenes for Andor were filmed on the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios.[10] When Talia, another resident of Mina-Rau,[1] received an entry in the StarWars.com Databank, it mistakenly used a photo of Aneth when it was originally posted on April 23, 2025.[11]
