Episode I: Queen Amidala

Episode I: Queen Amidala is a one-shot comic book which tells of a misadventure which Padmé Amidala and Jar Jar Binks had on Tatooine in between scenes of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The comic was written by Mark Schultz, illustrated by Galen Showman, and published by Dark Horse Comics on July 28, 1999. In 2015, a digital edition of Episode I: Queen Amidala was released by Marvel Comics under the Star Wars Legends banner.

Publisher's summary

Her world has been blockaded and her people imprisoned, but the Young Queen Amidala, so recently elected to the throne of Naboo, is a teenager of uncommon wisdom. Exiled from her home and spirited away by a pair of Jedi, Amidala will look upon every experience as a potential key to her world's problems. But her salvation may rest in the hands of another…perhaps where she least expects it!^[3]
