Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace was written by
George Lucas and published in
February 2000 by
LucasBooks. It is based on the script of the
movie of the same name. Despite the title, the script has been edited to match the film exactly and does not represent an accurate version of the
Episode I shooting script.
