Episode I: Qui-Gon Jinn

Episode I: Qui-Gon Jinn is a one-shot comic book retelling events from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace from the perspective of Qui-Gon Jinn. The issue was written by Ryder Windham, illustrated by Robert Teranishi, and published by Dark Horse Comics on July 7, 1999. Originally scheduled for a June 2 release,[3] it was later swapped with Episode I: Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was released on June 2 instead.

Publisher's summary

Though he has been branded a maverick, a troublesome Jedi with a propensity to follow his own aptitude for the Force in all living things, Qui-Gon Jinn is undoubtedly a Jedi Knight of the first order. But his greatest critic is his own student, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon knows that now is the time for him to prove the strength of his own convictions, for nothing less than the fate of the galaxy rests upon his shoulders![1]
