- "Stories? Lando had about a million of them...How a disapproving father had kept him from marrying into a mining fortune on Drogheda."
- ―Tivoche Bilure, in his journal
Drogheda was a terrestrial astronomical object[3] located in the Drogheda system, within the Teraab sector of the Mid Rim[1] and the Slice regions.[2] It was situated in grid square Q-11 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] According to the smuggler Lando Calrissian, his father had prevented him from marrying into a mining fortune on Drogheda. After learning Calrissian's story about the celestial body, the bartender Tivoche Bilure included the tale in his journal.[3]
Behind the scenes
Drogheda was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2018 replica journal Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor, written by Jason Fry.[3] The planet Drogheda was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via the eighty-third issue of the Marvel Comics series Star Wars. The comic issue was written by Linda Grant, illustrated by Bob McLeod,[4] and published on February 14, 1984.[5]
