"Let's go home and get you some channelfish kibble and a bowl of bantha milk." - ―The Talpiddian and the tooka
Channelfish kibble was a type of food made from channelfish that was edible by tooka cats.[1] By around 232 BBY,[2] during the High Republic Era, a Talpiddian who lived on[1] the Outer Rim planet[3] Tenoo with their pet tooka had channelfish kibble at their home.[1]
Around that year,[2] the tooka was rescued by three Jedi younglings—Kai Brightstar, Nubs, and Lys Solay—and the Dowutin Ansen Strung after she became stuck on a Tenoo tree. Once the cat was returned to her owner, the Talpiddian stated they would go home and get the tooka some channelfish kibble and a bowl of bantha milk, with the cat meowing in response.[1]
Behind the scenes
Channelfish kibble was mentioned in "The Bounty Hunter and the Thief," the second part of the twenty-second episode in the second season of the animated television series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,[1] which aired on March 19, 2025.[4]
