- "Tee-Nine was on Bentora, where I lost him in the first place."
- ―Rhil Dairo, to Jedi Master Avar Kriss
Bentora was a terrestrial astronomical object in the Outer Rim's Bentora system. Upon the formation of the Nihil pirates' Occlusion Zone[1] in 230 BBY,[6] Bentora became located in Nihil space behind its Stormwall barrier that prevented hyperspace travel. While stranded in the Occlusion Zone, the journalist Rhil Dairo visited Bentora with her cam droid, T-9, where she interviewed victims of recent Nihil raids. During Dairo's time on Bentora, she was captured by the Nihil and seperated from T-9. Eventually, the journalist escaped the Nihil[1] and at some point after, reunited with her droid.[5]
Behind the scenes
Bentora was first mentioned in the 2023 novel The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, written by George Mann and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[7]
