A battle in the Baros system between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire took place in 3639 BBY in the Galactic War. Darth Ordrem gathered a fleet in the system in order to ambush the Republic, but the Republic's Coruscant Aegis launched a preemptive strike and killed the Darth[4]
The battle
While the fleet of Darth Ordrem was amassing in orbit above Baros, the Republics elite Coruscant Aegis squadron arrived in the system, ambushing a trio of Terminus-class destroyers and damaging them, before entering the asteroid field and engaging in dogfights with Imperial starfighters. Eventually the Coruscant Aegis came out on top, launching torpedoes at the bridge of Darth Ordrems Harrower-class dreadnought flagship and killing the Sith Lord. By the end of the battle, the majority of Imperial forces were destroyed, with at least four destroyers and being lost in the fighting.[4]
