A battle in the Thanium sector between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire took place in 3639 BBY during the the Galactic War. Mandalorian warlord Rimark stole the construction plans for the Void Anvil, a secret Republic mining station and shipyard, and attempted to sell them to the Empire at a minefield in the Thanium sector.[4]
The battle
The Coruscant Aegis squadron was sent to intercept Rimark and was almost immediately ambushed by a pair of Plug-6 heavy fighters, defeating them whilst approaching the minefield. Bypassing a Mandalorian frigate and damaging a Terminus-class destroyer, the Coruscant Aegis began to pursue the Imperial shuttle, which was escorted by Rimark himself, piloting a D5-Mantis Patrol Craft, and two further Plug-6 fighters. During the intense dogfight among the systems asteriods, the shuttle carrying the plans, Rimark and his fighters were destroyed. The Imperial destroyer subsequently moved to escape the asteroid field and jump to hyperspace but was also destroyed by the Coruscant Aegis before it could do so.[4]
