During the Operations on Tatooine, an Imperial base called Fort Sunfire was attacked by Rebel Alliance forces. Under the guidence of Colonel Jennica Pierce, Saponza, and Saponza's partner as well as the support of Sergeant Oto Vans and six T-65B X-wing starfighters the rebels emerged victorious, though they would catch the ire of Imperial Captain Kosh, the leader of Imperial forces on Tatooine, who vowed that the attack on Fort Sunfire would be repaid in kind.^[1] Sometime after the rebel attack, Fort Sunfire would be rebuilt by 3 ABY.^[3]
