"Well, that says 'At Aytuu.' And these are galactic coordinates."

At Aytuu was an Outer Rim Territories planet of the Trilon sector that was one of the Jewels of the Old Republic, a group of worlds that were hidden by the Galactic Republic long before approximately 9 ABY. It was depicted on a scroll in a drawing of the Jewels of the Old Republic, and its and the other Jewels' names and coordinates were engraved on pillars in a tower-like structure on the planet At Achrann.

Description

At Aytuu[3] was a planet[2] located in the At Aytuu system of the Outer Rim Territories' Trilon sector in grid square G-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The numbers "-403.25" and "3.22" constituted a part of its galactic coordinates.[3]

At Aytuu was one of the Jewels of the Old Republic, nine planets of the Galactic Republic that were hidden from the rest of the galaxy for their protection. The Jewels of the Old Republic were depicted in a drawing on a scroll,[2] and their names and coordinates were engraved—using the Aurebesh writing system and a system of numerals, respectively—on pillars located in the tower—known eventually as the Fallen Sanctum—on the Jewel At Achrann.[3]

Around 9 ABY,[4] the astronomer[5] Kh'ymm showed the scroll to the crew of[2] the starship Onyx Cinder[6] and claimed that, long before the era of the New Republic, all of the Jewels of the Old Republic sans At Attin had been destroyed,[2] despite At Achrann in reality still remaining in existence by that time, albeit inhabited by a war-torn population. The Onyx Cinder crew eventually visited the Fallen Sanctum, where they noticed the dusty inscriptions regarding At Aytuu and the other Jewels.[3]

Behind the scenes

At Aytuu was the name given in "Can't Say I Remember No At Attin,"[3] the December 17, 2024[7] fourth episode of the Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,[8] to one of the planets depicted in a drawing in[2] the December 10, 2024[7] third episode "Very Interesting, As an Astrogation Problem."[9]

  4. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
