The Zeltros system was a star system in the Inner Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It was located in grid square O-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the terrestrial astronomical object Zeltros. The rogue archeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra killed the human Tukan on a tropical beach on Zeltros[5] around 1 ABY.[6]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Zeltros system was first mentioned as just "Zeltros" on a map of the galaxy included in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 Star Wars Roleplaying set published by Fantasy Flight Games.[7] It first appeared in the thirteenth issue of the 2016 comic book series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, written by Kieron Gillen, illustrated by Kev Walker, published by Marvel Comics[5] on October 11, 2017.[8] The system was then identified as the Zeltros system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[9]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Zeltros was located in the Zel system, which first appeared in the 104th issue of the 1977 Star Wars comic book series, which was written by Mary Jo Duffy, illustrated by Cynthia Martin, and published by Marvel[10] on December 17, 1985.[11] It was first identified as the Zel system in "Zeltros: Pleasure Planet Part 1," a Star Wars Roleplaying Game article written by Cory J. Herndon and published on Wizards of the Coast's website on January 5, 2004.[12] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Fry and Daniel Wallace, then introduced Zeltros system as an alternate name for the Zel system.[13]
