ZeHeth was an Mid Rim[1] world[3] located in the ZeHeth system of the Dustig sector[2] in grid square N-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The super-hyperroute[4] known as the Hydian Way connected it to the Malastare system as well as the Expansion Region's Pax system.[1] Around 9 ABY,[5] while the astronomer[6] Kh'ymm was searching her archive of worlds on the Observatory Moon in order to determine the potential location of the lost planet At Attin, ZeHeth's name was listed on her computer screen among other worlds.[3]

Behind the scenes

ZeHeth's name was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying boxed set.[1] It was subsequently first described as a distinct world in "Very Interesting, As an Astrogation Problem,"[3] the December 10, 2024[7] third episode of the Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.[8] The planet ZeHeth[9] was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1994 The Last Command Sourcebook, written by Eric Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[10]

  5. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
