Zaddja was a terrestrial astronomical object[4] located in the Zaddja system[3] of the Outer Rim Territories, situated at the coordinates H-15[1] on the Standard Galactic Grid.[5] Its surface consisted of oceans broken up by archipelagoes of white sand beaches. At night, the beaches were covered by water from the high tides; as such, the inhabitants of Zaddja lived on flying skiffs. A hyperspace route connected Zaddja to Gannaria, a planet in the Trilon sector.[4]
The author and historian Eloc Throno wrote about the astronomical object in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu, in which Zaddja was listed as a locale that could be reached with a short flight from the planet Batuu.[4]
Behind the scenes
Zaddja was first mentioned in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Zaddja first appeared in the comic Crimson Empire 1, written by Mike Richardson and Randy Stradley, penciled by Paul Gulacy,[6] and published on December 7, 1997.[7]
