- "But Yvanna and Garda…well, they've had a bad year. Yvanna suffers from krinjaffi syndrome, you see, and can barely work. The family was just about getting by before her husband was killed in a farming accident. I tried to save him, but the injuries were too severe. Ever since then, Yvanna has barely managed to rub two credits together."
- ―Nindle, to Matthea Cathley and Oliviah Zeveron
A Dalnan male lived during the High Republic Era and was the husband of the woman Yvanna. At some point, they became the parents of the boy Garda, and they lived in the town Ferdan on[2] the Outer Rim[3] planet Dalna. Yvanna suffered from a condition known as krinjaffi syndrome, which left her unable to work, and the family was barely getting by.[2] Between 383 BBY and 382 BBY,[1] the husband was injured during a farming accident, and despite the attempts of Nindle—Ferdan's doctor—to save his life, the man's injuries were too severe and he died.[2]
After her husband's passing, Yvanna struggled to get together enough credits to feed her son.[2] In 382 BBY,[1] Nindle mentioned the husband's death to Jedi Knight Oliviah Zeveron and Jedi Padawan Matthea Cathley while informing them about the hard year Garda—who had become ill after eating soup from the Path of the Open Hand cult—and his mother had been through.[2]
Behind the scenes
