- "Yvanna suffers from krinjaffi syndrome, you see, and can barely work."
- ―Nindle, to Matthea Cathley and Oliviah Zeveron
Krinjaffi syndrome was a condition that the Dalnan woman Yvanna suffered from[1] in 382 BBY[2] while she lived in the town Ferdan on[1] the Outer Rim[3] planet Dalna, leaving her unable to work.[1] That year,[2] Ferdan's doctor, the Mon Calamari Nindle, mentioned Yvanna's suffering from krinjaffi syndrome to Jedi Knight Oliviah Zeveron and Jedi Padawan Matthea Cathley. The Mon Calamari was speaking to the Jedi about Yvanna's son, Garda, who had been struck ill after eating soup given to him by the Path of the Open Hand cult.[1]
Behind the scenes
Krinjaffi syndrome was mentioned in the 2023 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Vengeance, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[4]
