Supreme Emperor (17 users/0 users)
Two-week deadline from first request. Voting ends July 19, 2024.
- "The Administration is responsible for acting in the interests of the Wookieepedia community as active leaders."
- ―Wookieepedia:Administrators
Hello, fellow Wookieepedians. After much thought and deliberation, I'm presenting a request for removal of user rights for Supreme Emperor's (also known as Preem or SE) position as Administrator. I feel this is the only option available to the community at this point. Please see reference document
On June 30, 2024, at 09:57 pm EDT, the Social Media Team requested that Supreme Emperor step down from his position due to a lack of trust in appropriately managing the site's social media. Supreme Emperor was initially given 12 hours to respond, which was later extended to 26 hours. He eventually resigned on July 1, 2024, at 8:44 EDT. The intention was for Supreme Emperor to remain on the admin team and regain the community's trust to rejoin the Social Media Team later. However, during the hours between the request and the resignation, it was revealed to the administration team that Supreme Emperor had lied to them. This is the straw to break my proverbial camel’s back, and I seriously regret not moving forward to an RFRUR last time I was tempted. I simply cannot trust Supreme Emperor to be a responsible admin.
The evidence below has been made to comply with the privacy policy.
Lying - Podathon WP:A
On April 5, 2024, Podathon contacted us to help promote the event, requesting that we include a donation link. Supreme Emperor later contacted the #administrators channel about the request and forwarded information about it. Another Social Media Team member mentioned that the Podathon's host had proposed adding a donation link in their initial message, as they also had access to the Twitter account and read the initial proposal. Supreme Emperor actively dismissed this claim to the rest of the administration and insisted there would be no donation link, and therefore no need to ping the rest of the admins to approve the measure.
On April 11, 2024, Supreme Emperor came back to the admins with a full proposal, including the donation link in the Podathon host's original proposal. The Social Media Team member then prompted him again to @ the rest of the admins, which he complied with. admins ultimately agreed because the charity was Make-A-Wish.
Lying - About VIP
On June 30, 2024, Supreme Emperor was asked to step down from the Social Media Team due to the SMT and the admin team no longer trusting him with running the social media accounts. He was presented the option to step down instead of the issue being immediately brought to a public vote as a courtesy; if he opted not to resign, a removal vote co-signed by the majority of the Social Media Team would have been brought forward for the community to weigh in on.
Both timestamps are in PDT. Please see reference document Supreme Emperor was initially given 12 hours to respond, which was extended to a total of 26 hours by request. During that time, Supreme Emperor joined a group chat with a Wookieepedia server VIP concerning this situation. At least a few hours after the group chat's creation, the VIP then posted a message publicly praising Supreme Emperor in the #wookieepedia channel (Discord link). In the administrators channel, Supreme Emperor was directly asked if he had told the VIP about him being asked to resign from the Social Media Team. He point-blank said the VIP had "no idea" and he had not talked to the VIP "at all" in the last few days (admins: Discord link). He further "outright stated" he had not talked to the VIP about this, and when further questioned whom he had informed of the situation so far, he named two individuals, neither of which were the VIP in question (admins: Discord link). Supreme Emperor then further accused the administration of assuming bad faith in him, and then hours later in his resignation message, further berated the administration for assuming he had staged the VIP's endorsement. (admins: Discord link)
A report was given to the admin team with screenshot evidence confirming the existence of the group chat with the VIP and them and Supreme Emperor actively discussing the issue prior to the "unrelated" endorsement statements. This report was given to the admins pursuant to the privacy policy's reporting clause due to the relevant planning in the group chat involving discussion of a possible news-level publication in order to gain support for Supreme Emperor, which caused the reporting Wookieepedian to be concerned for the site's userbase.
As such, Supreme Emperor lied to the administration several times in the following claims:
- He claimed he and the VIP had not spoken for "days" prior.
- He had "no idea" if the VIP knew about the situation, despite actively talking about the issue during that time period. He also immediately reported to the group chat the admins questioning him about who was informed of the situation.
- His claim that no more individuals than the two named ones knew about the issue.
- He "outright" stated that he "did not talk to [the VIP] about this, at all." and accused the administration of bad faith to shift the blame.
- His resignation further insisted that the administration was incorrect for remotely assuming he may have told the VIP about the issue in "some underhanded effort to save my position on the SMT."
Wookieepedian role WP:DISCORD
On November 7, 2023, it was brought up in admin chat (admin channel reference (pre-Bonzane): Discord link) that Supreme Emperor added the Wookieepedian role to two visitors for an AMA. Neither user had 50 edits.
On February 28, 2024, a request was made in #wookieepedia (Discord link) to grant a user from another wiki the Wookieepedian role for the purpose of learning from us. It was conveyed to the requester that Discord policy did not allow it, but users were open to a SH>CT to hash out a collaborators role. Supreme Emperor argued to bypass policy in this instance instead (Discord link). (Needs full context of the conversation)
WP:TALK/WP:BOT - Redlinks
Log of instances in which Supreme Emperor has been granted bot role for cleanup. WP:BOT states that only edits backed by consensus should be made while under a bot flag. Wookieepedia's talk page policy does not allow for the removal or alterations of redlinks on talk pages.
On May 25, 2023, Supreme Emperor was confronted in the admin channel for breaking WP:TALK. (Pre Braha/Dani admin: Discord link) By this point, through April/May, he had already changed over one thousand articles breaking this policy, and some user complaints were logged, as this was (and remains) against policy. Though explicitly confronted by another administrator who stated that it was against policy and had community complaints, Supreme Emperor insisted that it was "basic maintenance" and did not need a vote. He also further stated that a vote would be bureaucratic overreach, despite the complaints of it breaking policy. Another administrator argued with him that if the change would be so easily accepted, it should be easy to vote through in CT. When the other admin continued to insist that the administration as an entity did not have the right to make such a call unilaterally, Supreme Emperor put up a vote: which ultimately ended in 6 support -11 oppose; no consensus. A public discussion occurred in #wookieepedia (Discord link)
Most of the changes made to pages against policy, due to there having been so many, remain in their altered state. Examples of his edits, during which he was a bot between April 28 and May 5. (Note: There are 1000s of these):

Representing Wookieepedia
On the whole, Supreme Emperor has also demonstrated that he does not care for several of the core principles governing the site. Ideally, administrators should abide by policy and at least present to the wider community that they will do such, rather than mocking our core tenants. On March 16, 2024, in the #star-lounge, a channel in the Fandom server full of wiki representatives from the Fandom Stars program, Supreme Emperor argued that allowing someone to vote oppose on a proposal because they did not think improving SEO was worth the proposed change was a "flaw" in the system. Misc. unprofessional conduct - SMT
Prior to the establishment of Wookieepedia:Social Media Team, the socials were operated as part of the administration as part of Wookieepedia:Contact. While the provided evidence in this section originated on the social media accounts, they are provided as further context evidence relating to his character in an authoritative position.
Doxxing birthdays:
(without the consent of at least one of the individuals) He posted on Twitter wishing 3 users a happy birthday, but did not have the consent of one (Unaware if consent for the other two was obtained). Please see reference document
Pronoun update
admin reference #staff - Discord link The pronoun edits spurred a lot of vandalism and hate toward Wookieepedia. Supreme Emperor stoked the fire by making joke edits, misgendering various cis characters, blocking good-natured dissenter(s) protesting the misgendering, and leading viewers to believe we were "changing canon" (as the average viewer does not understand the preview function).
When asked to stop, Supreme Emperor stood by his actions, citing the desire to promote positivity. Staff intervened and urged him to cease interactions. He eventually conceded and apologized for his lack of foresight. He proceeded to swap out the pinned Tweet and deleted several misgendering tweets created by the official account. He said he would think more carefully going forward. Supreme Emperor also indicated that next time something similar came up, he would bring it up first before acting.
Trust - Outing Victim's Harassment (Without permission)
However, when a victim came forward about harassment, indicating that a threat to them and their pets had been made, Supreme Emperor used the incident to garner support for Wookieepedia. Taken from Supreme Emperor’s private server, therefore not under privacy policy.

Provoked SWTheory - Please note, there is zero evidence SWTheory sent his followers to our site. Twitter post - Archive
Supreme Emperor continued to bolster the incident well after initial posts were discovered and taken down, and specific actions included retweeting and replying to numerous comments and hosting live chat sessions. He also celebrated us trending despite knowing by this point about the incident being sparked on false pretenses and further accused those he felt were responsible, though there was no proof to substantiate the accusation. Each statement on the matter was phrased with a "We" and not signed as "I"; with the Tweets regarding the situation referring to the site in plural, it was presenting the entire site's opinion. However, the rest of the Social Media Team was not consulted for these statements.
The social media accounts also received many well-wishing messages from users who assumed we were being inundated by death threats by the time of the initial post referencing we had been threatened. Though many unpleasant messages were received after the incident became trending on a wider level, the main account was not inundated with threats, if any at all, at the time the incident started other than the one shared without consent that sparked the initial issue. Supreme Emperor cited that the screenshotted threat was from Wookieepedia's AbuseLog; however, it was not from Wookieepedia.
When the administrators finally requested for Supreme Emperor to stop, he claimed he was unaware of who the threat was aimed at and thought it had come from the Wookieepedia server. But taking from the server without consent would not make it permissible and is also something Supreme Emperor has been warned against. The original threat was also explicitly tied to who the victim was. He also wanted to continue amplifying the positivity to ride out the incident and stop replying to the negative comments only. The rest of the administration instructed him that the accounts should severely limit their posting and only engage with official accounts to allow this to die down instead of continue, which was carried out.
Support removal
- Supreme Emperor's intentions—the desire to promote positivity in the Star Wars community and make Wookieepedia accessible—are noble and respectable. However, his ideals have closed his eyes to the reality that his actions have consequences. Every outrage exacerbated by the official Twitter account has sent waves through the community. While Preem supports the wider Star Wars community, he leaves the community he represents without support. They're left with an increased workload by having to handle a surge in vandalism and are put at risk of harassment by angered individuals. He also fails to understand the community has a voice, believing that if he wants something and labels it as a positive deed, he can undermine the community's will. Preem sees the Star Wars fandom as his primary priority and the Wookieepedia community as an afterthought. But he was elected to represent Wookieepedia. I believe and trust in the community's voice: per below. NBDani

- Miscommunication is dangerous. I believe administrators have a duty to tell the community that elected us when one of our own is found to have violated not just our individual trust, but that of the community, and disregarded their responsibilities. While I know Preem to be a decent, hard-working person, I cannot in good faith say that he could carry on as he has been.
Despite his responsibility to properly represent Wookieepedia as a member of the Social Media Team, he has made posts and messages in public without due regard for their potential and actual impact on community members. I find the notion of focusing on "positivity" in Wookieepedia's outreach at all costs, to the extent of compromising our security and betraying trust, to be grossly irresponsible. As individuals, we cannot control what other people do and must take responsibility for our own actions; though I have previously said that I wanted to rebuild trust within the existing administration, it has become apparent to me that Preem's position has become untenable. Misconduct is made worse by the inability or refusal to recognise it.
Despite his responsibility as a Wookieepedian to listen to and respect the opinions of fellow users, he has disregarded decisions for which other admins and the wider community have collectively voted, dismissing those in disagreement as people who "don't care." Despite knowing Wookieepedia's history of a vulnerable userbase, he has pulled people from beyond the site into the foray without keeping fellow SMT members and other admins in the loop, passing the burden of any miscalculation onto others while letting us be accused of acting in bad faith. Despite his promises, he has given fellow admins misleading information, showing blatant disrespect for our goodwill and system of consensus. None of this is acceptable. The admin rights of bot-editing, handling confidential information, and representing the site have been abused. My trust in Preem has, alas, vanished. OOM 224 (he/him/they) 16:07, 5 July 2024 (UTC) - I have long considered Supreme Emperor to be my friend, going back almost 15 years now. We haven't always agreed on everything, but I've always trusted him to have our best interests at heart, even when I've seen others raise issues. That's changed recently, and changed drastically in this last week. When Fred showed me the evidence compiled as to how our socials have been misused, not to mention shared with a person who was not a member of the Social Media Team, I was convinced to support his dismissal from the team... but I was not expecting Supreme to involve a VIP from an outside organization in our internal matter. The admin team was alerted to a groupchat between Supreme, this VIP and several others, in which this VIP proceeded to threaten to blow up the whole situation publicly because they were upset that Supreme was being removed from the SMT. And when this individual then launched into a lengthy praising of Supreme's work in the main channel of our Discord, I confronted Supreme in the admin channel about this - only for him to lie to me and the entire admin team. He claimed he'd never spoken to this man about the SMT matter, despite me having been given irrefutable proof by someone who witnessed that conversation, and less than a minute later, that same source confirmed that Supreme was now talking about his denials in this groupchat. He repeated this lie several times over the course of the day, claiming that he was deeply hurt that we'd ever accuse us of such a thing, and included it in a grossly manipulative resignation message that blamed the admin team for emotional harm - a message, I might add, that has been proven to have been workshopped directly with the VIP. Supreme has lost my trust completely and my faith that he is willing to put our community before his own personal gain; he has a long history of bypassing policies because they inconvenience him, sharing confidential admin discussions (not to mention the official Twitter account's DMs) with Jayce without our permission, and resisting any criticism on his conduct when it comes to the social accounts. In my opinion, he no longer deserves any position of leadership in this community, and I can no longer in good conscience call him my friend. Cade

- Per all of the points raised above, in my eyes Supreme Emperor is no longer fit for the position of administrator on Wookieepedia. Imperators II(Talk) 16:19, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have a lot to say on this matter, so much that as I began typing it all up to put here I quickly realised I had too much for a simple vote comment and I’m workshopping my full thoughts to post in the Discussions section below. Suffice to say, I have long privately taken issue with the way Supreme Emperor has approached his duties as a community representative and leader, both as an admin and as the manager of our Social Media accounts, such as his commitment to appearing “positive” to an insincere degree. For a long time I believed I was alone and that my issues were the result of petty irritability, but a good while ago I began discussing the issue with some friends and learned that it was not just me, that many people disagreed with his behaviour. I have a lot to say below, some of it about actions other than the evidence presented above, but suffice to say I have good reason to vote support. I am someone who is very proud to be a part of Wookieepedia and I care a lot about this site. I am aware that this is the first RFRUR vote since 2008 and have kept that in mind as I voted, and considering all the available evidence as well as my own memories of his conduct and discussions I’ve had with friends for a long time, I firmly believe Supreme Emperor is no longer fit to be considered an administrator of our site. Fan26 (Talk) 16:23, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Trust is an important key to have as an admin. SE's past actions of dishonesty, unprofessionalism, and recklessness not only broke that trust for me, personally, but also hurt others in the process. As a whole, I don't see how admins can properly function as a team, if a member within it cannot be trusted in representing Wookieepedia's best interest. People make mistakes, but you can only apologize so much before someone needs to fully prevent it from happening again. Bonzane10
16:24, 5 July 2024 (UTC) - Administrators are representatives of Wookieepedia, and I don't think that SE can effectively fulfill that role at this time. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 17:17, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have considered Preem a friend for years, and I've worked alongside him for years, as well, both as an admin and on the Social Media Team. While I've disagreed with his approach to the socials for a while, I decided he was more experienced and likely had more insight as to what worked, and so I would rarely bring up concerns. After the most recent incident, however, I decided to do a full deep dive, and in so doing I discovered a lot of action unbecoming of a representative of our community. During the investigation into his actions on the SMT, it was discovered that he had lied multiple times to the administration and leaked confidential conversations, and because of this, I do not see him as someone I can trust. It is not possible to work effectively as a team when one member of the team cannot be trusted. While the admin team regularly disagrees on the appropriate courses of action, we all trust that everyone else on the team has the best intentions and the wellbeing of the community in mind and is being fully honest. I can no longer have such confidence in SE; thus, I am voting in favor of having him removed from the administration so that our team can function appropriately for the benefit of the Wookieepedians it exists to serve. - Preem twice-Tweeted a descriptive death threat about myself and my pets without my knowledge or consent. Even so, as I told two SMT members of it, I insisted I didn’t want action taken; for admin solidarity to not fuss during an ongoing debacle. But no; he continued to gleefully soak in a day’s worth of clout, attention, and trending hashtag to gain engagement while baselessly blaming others for the debacle until admins halted the insanity. After all this, I still was not one of the SMT who asked him to resign. But, a final straw: Preem stated he wanted to rebuild trust and then proceeded to blatantly lie to the admins multiple times that day. His resignation alluded that he had a “great reputation” in the SW community; while true from afar, it’s shadowed by a repeated failure to think before acting, hurting people time and time again. The policy-compliant evidence collated here is admin-related, but there’s more SMT abuse that cannot be publicly shared due to policy and… damn. Just damn. This situation is an insult to the elected position of administrator and the community deserved to know.—spookywillowwtalk 17:54, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- It's sad to see the community have to do this. Especially to someone who has been a positive voice in situations in the past. Nevertheless I have to agree with the above. Preem's conduct with the SMT and other situations has broken much trust, something that will take a while to earn back. Otherwise, per the above. Braha'tok enthusiast Hello there 17:57, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have found this to be quite disturbing and my trust in SE has been damaged by this. The social media aspect, especially the false pronoun posts about what curiously appear to have been mostly or only straight characters comes across... not well. This and other aspects that seemed to mostly stoke drama and damage the Wook's reputation have bothered me for some time, but I had no idea of the full scope of what was going on.SaintSirNicholas (talk) 17:59, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

- I don't like being so openly "partisan" on site, but I have no choice. This behavior is unbecoming of adminship and immediate grounds for removal. Preem has always valued positivity in the Star Wars community, a very noble goal. In order to secure that, however, he has lied and broken trust time and time again. In trying to be positive, he has taken on negative traits unbecoming of his station. He has hurt those around him in order to create a "great positive reputation" for himself. At the end, his attempt to use a VIP to "prove" he was useful as a SMT manager depicts someone unwilling to learn and eager to hold onto—to be blunt—power, power via a position he had lost the right to. Editoronthewiki (talk) 18:06, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Like many others I have long held concerns about the way that Supreme Emperor has been conducting his duties as admin and on the social media accounts, to the point that I was embarrassed to even follow or check the Wookieepedia twitter account. The way it was being run was if we were a brand, and Supreme Emperor only appeared to have interest in raising the brand of himself via the account.
While I don't need to post specific incidents since they have been thoroughly documented above and below by Dani and Fan, I will recall one incident where he posted a tweet asking the Pepsi twitter account if they would provide merchandise for Marfalump, a character created for promotions related to The Phantom Menace. I was completely ashamed to see the Wookieepedia account acting in this way and I immediately voiced my concerns with others, and we then raised this on the Wookieepedia discord server. One particular reason I saw concern with this is that the Marfalump page has been long subject to vandalism since it was created back in 2015 and I mentioned this fact. The concerns, however, were outright dismissed by Supreme Emperor who saw no issue with what he was doing.
I am completely disgusted by the Cereangate (as coined by Fan) incident and how the twitter account responded to this. Not only did Supreme Emperor post a traumitising screenshot of a threat directed at one of his fellow admins and social media team members (as well as their pets) without the permission of said user, he continued to prolong the suffering that the user had been going through in the name of "spreading postivity" and showing "there are more of us than them" even after it had been raised to him. As a friend of the affected user, I know how much this upset them and seriously left them questioning their position. On top of this, Supreme Emperor then made a completely reckless comment that has left another member of the Star Wars fandom considering a legal threat against the site. I will not see the site that I love editing at and have been at for 8 years be in the mud like this because of someone who cares first and foremost cares about his reputation on Star Wars twitter.
The documentation above and below, recounting numerous instances of breaches of policy, instances of simply ignoring policy, mocking the sites policies in discussions with individuals from other wikis, that he is willing to lie to his fellow admins, all point to Supreme Emperor no longer being fit to hold the position of admin. Lewisr (talk) 18:12, 5 July 2024 (UTC) - While I agree with pretty much all the concerns raised above, at this point honestly, I don't really care about any particular DM or Twitter interaction. If someone acknowledges that his actions harmed others, apologizes for them, but continues to straight up lie to his fellow admins on the very same day, then he cannot be trusted to lead or represent this community. It's as simple as that.

Discussion
- I have taken issue with Preem’s conduct as an administrator and as operator of our Social Media accounts, primarily the Twitter, for a few years now. I found his conduct as a community leader to be immature, conflict-avoidant to an unhealthy degree, and focused on toxic, false positivity. I imagine anyone who’s been around for long enough can think of at least one example of Preem’s conduct that fits this bill.
- When it comes to his handling of the Twitter account, his actions struck me as obsessed with engagement and at times it felt he acted as if the line between himself and the site’s Twitter had blurred-there are quite a few instances, such as some of the account’s tweets during a Fandom conference a year back, where he tweeted about his experiences that have no relation to Wookieepedia or Star Wars and would have been better suited to his personal account(s). I disagreed with his habit of regularly posting insincerely positive “Star Wars is for everyone” type messages designed to annoy Fandom menace types so, as it seemed to me, he could block them while appearing “positive” to everyone else. I took especially strong issue with his publicization of the then-recently added pronoun infobox feature by swapping pronouns for (cisgender) characters and then posting the edit preview to the site’s audience, which is both just a weird thing to do (not on the level of misgendering a trans person, but frankly still weird) and in all honestly likely contributed to the epidemic of angry vandalism by transphobic offsite actors bent on removing the pronoun field. He exhibited, in my view, a constant obsession with engagement, as shown in some of the above examples of misconduct and countless other, more minor tweets; for example, in November 2022, during a frantic few days following Musk’s buyout when it seemed his buffoonery would crash Twitter immediately, the site’s account tweeted out “Before Twitter dies, let’s get #Wookieepedia trending!” I still have a screenshot of this-it’s fairly harmless, but it illustrates a recurring trend of him trying to catch engagement above all else.
- I eventually came to the point where I muted the official Wookieepedia Twitter account and eventually unfollowed it altogether-when I purged my old twitter account and moved my main to a repurposed alt nearly a year ago, I made a point of neglecting to follow the Wookieepedia Twitter and have only done so upon hearing of his recent resignation.
- I was under the impression for a while that I was alone in this and assumed I was merely being grouchy and petty, that this was an issue of my personal worldview clashing with how he was and that most everyone else largely approved of his behaviour. I was quite surprised to learn, when I began talking with friends quite a while ago, that I was not alone in being equal parts frustrated, annoyed, and embarrassed by how he ran the Twitter account. A major issue that kept coming up was how several people agreed he treated the @WookOfficial Twitter account, our website’s primary public relations apparatus, like a personal account and seemed constantly obsessed with engagement. I mentioned a Fandom conference that he practically live-tweeted above; one of these tweets was something to the effect of “Wookieepedia has landed in [Conference Location]!” which as someone else pointed out is a farcical statement as Wookieepedia did not in fact land in that city, a single person did. A person who had control of, again, our website’s primary public relations apparatus, and was treating it like his own Twitter account. There’s quite a lot more on this one issue specifically, so I think I’ll just link some old archives of these and let them speak for themselves. [1] [2] [3]
- This of course, is arguably all irrelevant as he has been made to step down by now and one could argue that adminship is separate from SMT conduct. But no, I think that’s a narrow way to view this. Both of these are roles that require one to act as a representative of the community-as the above vote argument notes, his conduct during the Cereangate harassment fiasco presented his own public statements as the site’s collective opinion. Preem has acted in a way that conflates his identity as a member of Wookieepedia’s community, a “private citizen” of Wookieepedia, with his role as an administrator, community leader, and manager of our Twitter account. This issue can also be seen regarding the above-mentioned conduct in a Fandom Discord server, where he, while acting as a representative of Wookieepedia, trashed on site policy to people not members of the Wookieepedia community. Again, the difference between a “private citizen” of Wookieepedia and the role of a site representative is important here. This was not him debating policy with other Wookieepedians or expressing disagreement with aspects of policy in private to some people. This was a public slap-down of Wookieepedia policy, to representatives of other wikis on the Fandom platform, from a Wookieepedia administrator who was there in his capacity as a Wookieepedia administrator (that is, to my understanding, the point of this STARS program-connecting admins). This is of course reflective of on-site behaviour; that conversation seems to tie in with his obsession with removing redlinks. I recall many public debates on this where he indicated a serious disrespect for community consensus and the evidence provided by the admin team seems to confirm my suspicions. Again, this is not acts of a “private citizen,” this is him acting in his roles as admin and Social Media officer, representing and leading our site.
- The majority of active Wookieepedians can easily recall now-banned community figure and one-time admin Immi’s months of borderline-totalitarian control of the website just over a year prior. A fair number of us still remember how it was when disgraced former site leader and longtime admin Tope was at the height of his power and bullied anyone and everyone relentlessly. Both of them more or less conflated the site with themselves, and proceeded to unprofessionally create an atmosphere of toxicity where a user’s personal conduct and contributions to the site were on the same level as how much the administrator in question liked them. Tope would actively harass users-there are countless public comments and vote messages from him pointing to this tendency and any Wookieepedian of the old schools from before the pandemic can easily recall aggressive IRC DMs. Immi quietly encouraged dogpiling by her loyalists and blacklisting those she disliked, the former of which could be seen in many Discord discussions from that era while the latter was proven by evidence revealed during her ousting from the administration. (Though it must be noted that I don’t intend to downplay Tope’s bigotry, which is far worse than him simply being a toxic presence on the site-some people were targeted by him simply for their gender or sexuality. I am simply noting how the similar leadership styles he and Immi displayed speak to a shared, underlying penchant for bullying and control and how that was poor leadership.) With all that said, both Tope and Immi had genuine visions of what they thought this website should be (albeit, a very bad vision on Tope’s part) that were wrapped up in their toxic, narcissistic need for control, and their bullying was as much to support their goals for Wookieepedia as it was because they were at their core, bullies. I can not say this about Preem. Everything I considered when voting on this, from my own impressions, my own memories, discussions I’ve had with friends, and the evidence the administration has presented here, speaks to someone who I honestly believe simply is chasing clout for the sake of clout and honestly does not care about Wookieepedia, the fan-run encyclopedia, so much as he cares about Wookieepedia as a brand with which he can gain social capital from. I cannot really speak as to what Preem is like as a person, despite having known him for several years I don’t know him personally that well. But I do know how he has behaved in regards to executing his official duties as an administrator and SMT officer, and I think I’ve made it quite clear I don’t have a high opinion of his conduct there.
- I am someone who is very proud to be a part of Wookieepedia-I have a whole rambling essay on my userpage about this. On a personal level, all other discussions of the harm he’s caused and his unprofessionalism aside, I think I have the right to say that I am frankly insulted by his conduct as an administrator and how he has abused his SMT position to treat Wookieepedia, a site that we collectively all work on and he in theory represented, as a brand to soak up clout for him specifically. That is why I have voted to remove Supreme Emperor in the first proper RFRUR vote to be held since 2008. Fan26 (Talk) 16:40, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- OK. I guess I don't have voting rights here, either, but all of this seems strange. While all of this is unfortunate and less-then-stellar, roles of Wookieepedia only extend to Wookieepedia; punishment of behaviour outside the Wookieepedia (which includes behaviour on Wookieepedia-affiliated Discord server, as it is not Wookieepedia) is an overreach and thus wrong, regardless of how wrong said behaviour is. Only the bot rights incident happened on Wookieepedia itself, and that incident is likely to be an overapplication of some script.Demetrius Viridianus (talk) 16:43, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Not an admin but the justification for this argument seems to be-and I would certainly agree-that considering these actions were undertaken in his capacity as a Wookieepdia administrator or done through the site's official Twitter account, and demonstrate what many consider to be his unsuitability for leadership roles on this site. The community has a right to judge this evidence considering how it shows the relevant behaviour. Fan26 (Talk) 16:48, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Actions taken on the Wookieepedia Discord, as well as on our official social media accounts, are absolutely relevant to the community and grounds for action. A vandal or troll would not be allowed to disrespect the community via Discord and then continue to edit on the site, much less hold a position of power after losing the trust of the community. Cade

- You're claiming the admins shouldn't be held accountable for their behavior in the official Wookieepedia discord server and while speaking on behalf of the community via official social media accounts. That's frankly absurd. Not to mention, Preem is not being blocked for any of these actions. He's only being voted out of the admin position, assuming the community votes in favor of that, and nobody is guaranteed a spot on the admin team if the community they represent doesn't trust them to act in good faith. - I would also love to see the accused comment, even legal trials allow for last word. Demetrius Viridianus (talk) 16:43, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- For the sake of my own mental health, and that of everyone else, I quit effective immediately. I'll do a statement of my own at a later time, but at this point? Consider this my formal resignation. I was already leaning towards resigning myself to focus on understanding why I've acted the way I have at times, and to seek out actual therapy to help process all of it. Adios.
