"So where am I off to this time?"
"You're going back to the Western Reaches. A world called Wadi Raffa."
―Has Obitt and Matese[2]

Wadi Raffa was a Legacy planet[2] in the Wadi Raffa system in the Airam sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] in the Western Reaches. Wadi Raffa was a beautiful planet, featuring land masses with green and yellow forests and conical mountains, including a volcano. Wadi Raffa's rivers combined with the seas to form estuaries, and from its sandy coves and red clay riverbanks, an array of inlets and scattered rocky islands were visible amongst the deep blue water.

In 258 BBY,[3] Cohmac Vitus, Simmix, Orla Jareni, and Laret Soveral travelled to the planet on a mission to stop Fixian Wrak's crew of raiders.[4]

As a Legacy world, it had no large settlements and only featured a settlement of a few hundred Turlin/Benthic Extraction workers. Turlin/Benthic legally extracted undersea minerals from the hydrothermal vents such as kammris and meleenium until the Imperial takeover.[2]

The Galactic Empire hired Ranos Yalli and Has Obitt to transport old Separatist ion cannons to Wadi Raffa so that the Empire could "discover" them and thus remove Wadi Raffa's Legacy status. Removing Legacy status meant that the once-verdant world could be mined to exhaustion for doonium and dolovite, crucial materials for the construction of the first Death Star. Obitt delivered multiple containers of weapons to the site, which manifests logged as pipe fittings, meeting a crew chief who assisted in unloading the cargo. The Imperial scheme would succeed, and the Empire soon took over Turlin/Benthic's operations and began strip-mining and deforesting the planet to harvest these materials.[2]
