The Vanzeist system was located in the Suolriep sector[1] within the Slice portion[2] of the Outer Rim Territories. Lying in the grid square S-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] it contained the terrestrial astronomical object Vanzeist, where the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry once celebrated a victory against the Galactic Empire[3] by 3 ABY.[4] Vanzeist was also where Prelate Verge of the Empire promised a detail of stormtroopers to be sent to protect the family of Imperial Lieutenant Kourterel from the members of the Alliance.[3]
