Kourterel was a male individual who served as a lieutenant in the Galactic Empire. He had a child and a family on the astronomical object Vanzeist.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] Prelate Verge, a member of the Imperial Ruling Council, asked after the child. He further promised Kourterel, aboard the prelate's[1] Imperial-class Star Destroyer[3] the Herald, that a detail of stormtroopers would oversee the protection his family from rebels. Captain Tabor Seitaron, an officer who taught military history at Carida Academy, later recollected Verge's promise to Kourterel when overviewing Verge's personality based on their time together.[1]
