Welcome, Winterz!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. Upload warning
While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:08, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
-I'm sorry for my rookie mistakes or my failure to read the 935 pages of rules in this Wikia. Please I'd appreciate you checked the image now, see if it complies with all your standards.
Thank you, Winterz 18:37, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
P.S. I can't seem to get rid of this text box, will you help?
- I'm not sure what text box you're referring to. In any case, your second attempt at uploading was sufficient to prevent deletion as an unsourced image, but refer to this edit if you really want to comply with all standards. Your efforts toward improvement of both Wookieepedia and your own skills are appreciated, thank you. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:21, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

Your great work in TOR
Hey, Winterz. I've noticed your great work cataloging all of the TOR NPC's, and I'd like to invite you to join WookieeProject The Old Republic. I think you'd do well as a member of the project, so just sign your name in the participants section!
Also, regarding all of your recently created NPC's from Korriban, I'd invite you to look at Brovto, Nif Sarjun, and Arl'Tokor. All three are well on their way to becoming Comprehensive Articles, and the format with which I wrote them is a good basis for high-quality NPC articles. Be sure to mention the infobox info in the article itself, and try working the BTS like I did. Feel free to copy the BTS wikitext and change the character/location/affilitiation/etc. Keep up the great work, dude! We need all the help we can get in cataloging TOR, and your help is greatly appreciated.
If you do join the project, consider joining the Wookieepedia Alliance and Cabal guilds on the Wall of Light TOR server. Cheers! Cade Calrayn 12:32, May 2, 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, Winterz! Great job on creating articles for TOR characters. I'd just like to remind you to avoid letting them be orphans. Cheers! Stake black msg 01:02, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
- A good tip (but not the ideal one) is simply to link them all in the TOR article, in the Appearances section. Stake black msg 01:33, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
Images
Hey, Winterz, I noticed you've been uploading floor plans from TOR. I'd actually suggest getting screenshots of major locations or rooms within each level, and uploading those... they're a better representation. Try for shots were you can see multiple rooms or the most amount of space. Cade Calrayn 00:51, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it is really hard to get a decent angle for a complete (3D) background screenshot(and not just a wall :<) but I can try sure. Winterz 01:00, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

Sith Academy
The academy is mentioned in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords: Prima Official Game Guide. Also, good job with your hard work and happy editing! Mattto123 09:06, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Any more references and things you would like to know about? If not, I don't think the article is that far away from being appropriate for FA nomination. Mattto123 11:09, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Well I've decided not to take it to the FA as it doesn't comply with the requirements. The reasons are that it lacks information from all sources/appearances and that I cannot help with as I don't have them all. I'm gonna try it in some other article though :> Winterz 11:12, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, no mate, don't be discouraged so easily. I (or someone else) can provide you with information. You only need to ask mate. Also, if not FA, GA and CA are always something you should consider.

Dorotsech
Hey Winterz,
Just a heads-up that I have a couple of objections to Dorotsech's Good article nomination that are a few weeks old. Hopefully you can adress them soon, so that the nom can keep on chugging and not be removed. Cheers. Menkooroo (talk) 16:09, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

Quotes
Why, you're welcome. :-) I actually enjoy quotes whenever they are available. Of course I can try and add new quotes to the upcoming articles, it doesn't bother me at all. I'll probably be doing it now and then, when I think of it. --LelalMekha (talk) 21:11, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
Clan Farr
Hey Winterz I just created the Clan Farr page. Do you know anything else about them that I can add to the page, or who the other members are? DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 02:02, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
- [You've put in your talk page to reply here] Hey DarthRevan, I'm afraid I remember very little and my notes are very shorted on their info. I know that they supported the Revanites as Mandalorians who respected Revan for his accomplishments on the Mandalorian Wars. They hunted beasts in Dromund Kaas' forests because most creatures were challenging and I know that Ceta Farr leaded the clan. By the way, good work fixing the red links.Winterz (talk) 02:08, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

- I've found some more bits of info including members. I'll add it tomorrow. If you wish, there's the Revanite Compound redlinked, you may work on that. Winterz (talk) 02:17, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I'll do what I can can. Don't know much about it so will look around this site and see what's mentioned about it an d piece it together. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 02:26, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Battle over Coruscant
The grammar statement was not directed at you, but more at the state of the article. The section I was reffering to was from the original article's content, the same content that caused me to originally tag it for cleanup. Thanks for taking the time to cleanup the article, and I'm sorry you took offence from my comment. I'll do a grammar check of the article soon. 501st dogma(talk) 19:19, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

. The mask he's using is Kallig's mask. The upload I did was of quality enough so now you must do the face cuts and then you'll even be able to use it in a 250px quality for the mask's article. Winterz (talk) 11:46, August 27, 2012 (UTC)

Linking in bold
Please do not add links to the bold sections of articles. The bold title, as seen here, should be left without links. Please be more careful of this in the future. Thank you for your cooperation.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 19:25, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Oh I'm sorry, I believe I've seen more experienced editors doing it, so I thought it wouldn't be any harmful, so ye sorry for my disruption there. Anyway, just try to look into the big picture there. My intention was to link an important article which everyone seemed to forget about. Next time please, instead of reverting it, just modify it, linking it to a better place. Thanks for the correction though! Winterz (talk) 19:59, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
Drelliad village
Hey, Winterz, I noticed you've been assuming that the Smuggler and the Trooper work together on the Ord Mantell quests. Actually, we don't know if the two were on the planet at the same time, and which one (if either of them) completed the optional quests. Your Battle of Drelliad Village article should probably become something like the trooper's Raid on Drelliad Village, where he/she destroys those extra rockets. Right now, until we get further confirmation, we should leave the class storylines separate. Great job on the trooper though, and keep it up! Cade Calrayn 15:58, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for intruding, but I just wanted to say that it is implied that the trooper and smuggler are on the planet at the same time. In the opening scene for the Trooper, you see a ship flying in for a landing in the distance that looks like the smuggler's ship. However, Cade is still correct about the optional quests.--Exiled Jedi
(Greetings) 16:23, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Well okay it wasn't really my intention to join them up but I mean, I thought we could do the same as in the Flashpoints, anyways I'll change it. About the name I'm sorry but it seems good enough. The smuggler and trooper's small objectives are part of a larger battle that has been ocurring in the village. It is mentioned in the game that the Republic forces and Separatists have been disputing the village. And thanks! Winterz (talk) 18:47, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Winterz, I have the appearances section open and am continuously adding things as I make my way through the conversation files. If you would like me to add things, feel free to leave them on my talk page and I'll be sure to add them to the lists. Cade Calrayn 00:52, September 12, 2012 (UTC)

- Please remember to title your messages, so it can be distinguished from previous ones. As for the image trouble, that is easy enough, when you use the File:XXX , use instead a File:XXX|250px . The size can be optional but I'd recommend always something betweem 100px and 300px. Winterz (talk) 18:29, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
2 things, 1st how DO i title my messages, i've been wondering how to ever since i started to see people do it and 2nd, how do i change the size??? And can i change the size of a image i uploaded?? cheers --Edak Trebmil (talk) 18:32, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Infobox
Hey, Winterz. In reference to the infoboxes, that's usually what the {{Character infobox}} is used for. They're usually used for any characters that don't fit in with the other categories of infoboxes. However, I'm not really familiar with this group of characters. If you feel that they deserve their own infobox, then I'd suggest first starting a SH thread to see what others think first. Making new infoboxes for a certain smaller set of individuals, as in only having ten instances where it'll be used, is usually discouraged. However, like I said, others may feel differently. Feel free to see what others think through a SH. Cheers.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 00:03, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
TOR question
Hello, I was hoping I could ask you a question about the All Personnel Carrier. I haven't see it refered to as anything besides an "APC" in the game, could you tell me what quest/codex entry I can use to source the full name for when I do the Unidentified APC Driver article? Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 21:51, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm I can't seem to remember from where I took it but I believe it's a conjecture name. I reasoned with some mix of the real world (APC standing for Armoured Personnel Carrier) so the name is most likely speculation from my part until I can prove the contrary, even though 'PC' most likely means Personnel Carrier. I've decided to change the name, to clear any doubts about it. Winterz (talk) 22:57, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Wording adjustment at the species/subspecies CT
Hey, MJ, just wanted to give you a heads up that I adjusted the wording slightly on Vote 2 of Forum:CT:Species and subspecies. I realized that there area few species for which we know of subspecies, but for which we don't know of a "baseline" version. To clarify that these species are not covered by that particular vote, I changed an example (from Horansi to Arkanian) and added this extra text:
- NB: This vote only concerns species that have a "baseline" version, from which subspecies can be identified (e.g. Trandoshan and Arkanian). It does not cover species for which there is no "baseline" version (e.g., Horansi and Nikto). Those articles will continue to list all appearances and sources for the subspecies together.
In other words, if any of the separate Source/Appearance listing voting options wins, we won't apply it to species like the Nikto, for whom we don't have a baseline version. Sorry for altering thing like this, but I wanted to make sure you about the change since you've already voted. Cheers, ~Savage

Project Astrography recruitment
Hi Winterz! So you're interested in writing planet articles, huh? Have you by any chance considered joining WookieeProject Astrography? Even though the project has existed since 2010, I myself learned about it only a little while ago, and have been trying to give it a facelift over the past few months since it has pretty much gone stale. As I seem to be the de facto leader of the project at the moment (at least until someone else volunteers—I don't really have any overarching desire to be in leadership positions :P), I suppose I should try to get more people to participate, and you seem like the perfect candidate. :) Please drop by at the project page and see what you think! Tinwe(comlink) 16:11, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

TCW airdates
Winterz, please note that like all other information on unreleased episodes, airdates need to be sourced. The only reliable sources for airdates are ones like TV guides that directly receive information from Lucasfilm Ltd., not necessarily IMDB, which can be edited by any registered user there. Please provide a sufficient source for the airdates that you've added; otherwise they will need to be removed. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 13:40, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. In past seasons the release dates have been usually reported by the month, but that hasn't happened with this season so far, and we can't assume that there's a new episode every Saturday. Hopefully we'll get the dates sooner as time goes on. CC7567 (talk) 14:28, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
Kuhro
May I ask on which page CSWE spells Kuhru's name as "Kuhro"? I'm not seeing it under his actual entry. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:29, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Damn, I'm an idiot. I was looking at "Kuhro" and "Kuhru" articles convinced the one I had incorrectly created was "Kuhru" and the GA one was Kuhro. Let me just revert my mess. Feel free to remove the redirect. Winterz (talk) 19:33, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Does "Kuhro" not actually correspond to anything, then? I'm wondering if I should just delete that altogether. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:36, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Actually about the redirect, I think it would be best to leave it be. I've been working closely with the CSWE and I've noticed tons of spelling mistakes there that turn crucial when you're searching for them. This one I made here is just part of the 'spellception' that CSWE caused within my brain :p P.S. Nothing else there besides "Kuhru, Major". Winterz (talk) 19:38, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, if we allowed redirects for every misspelling every person ever made, we'd have...a lot of redirects. :P Typically, we try to reserve misspelling redirects for the most common instances. I'm going to delete this one for now. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:43, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

I rarely do this kind of thing, but after you asked me this the other day I found that it didn't seem to exist anywhere in a form we could import (at least not in MediaWiki.org or Wikipedia Help), so you deserve kudos for prompting its creation. Guardsman in action
I think that kind of picture is OK. A precedent I can think of off the top of my head is HK-47, which includes some pictures of him firing his gun, even if it is an action controlled by the player. Is that why this image is game mechanics --- because it's a player-controlled action? Menkooroo (talk) 23:26, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
Your WOTM claims
Hello, Winterz. I found several of the comments you made in your post on DarthRevan1173's Wookieepedian of the Month nomination to be a bit troubling. Foremost among them is your claim that you have seen DarthRevan1173 "adding fake information with no fundaments" to articles. This is a rather serious claim, as inserting false information is considered a blockable offense on Wookieepedia. After speaking with Revan myself, he claims to have no such knowledge of ever doing this, so I wanted to give you a chance to provide examples of this purported wrongdoing. As you consider your response, I will politely remind you that falsely accusing other users of impropriety is a violation of Wookieepedia's Civility tenets. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 02:11, November 2, 2012 (UTC)
- Firstly, I have no interest in punishing you. That's not what I'm trying to achieve here. I just want to make sure no one is making unfair, false accusations of anyone else, and if you say you made an honest mistake, I do understand that, and thank you for being mature enough to say so. In the same way, I hope you can also understand that the mistakes you have pointed out that Revan has made in the past were also honest mistakes by a new user, as you say, and that I don't think anyone deserves to be hammered for something like that. Perhaps it would go a long way toward smoothing things out if you left a short note on the WOTM page explaining what you meant to say by your comments. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:05, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, Winterz, you can't call the smuggler Voidhound until after Act III, when the smuggler kills the Voidwolf. Try Ace or something instead. Cade Calrayn 22:47, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll use something like "a renowned smuggler". Thanks for clearing that up, many articles will have to be corrected. Winterz (talk) 22:49, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
RE: EER
Thanks for letting me know. I only sourced to those enteries because they contained some specific info not said quite out front in the Far Orbit. For example, it is not clarified which navy (Republic or Imperial) that Ronnan served in. Those enteries clarified that he served in the Imperial. Thanks again, 501st dogma(talk) 12:33, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
Re:Several things
- Malgus also calls it "a new Empire" in his speech, but mostly I'm going off of the fact that the Imperial troopers aboard the station are named as "New Imperial Commanders" and "New Imperial Soldiers". Plus, there's also the "New Imperial Guard".
- Right here, but I'd suggest waiting a week. The evil Germans have promised me an updated database by the end of the week. Cade Calrayn

Level 5 clearance
The Force, eh? If you're interested, definitely go for it; anyone can start a Wookieeproject at any time. Its focus is pretty broad, though, perhaps so much so that it seems like it could easily miss the point of being a Wookieeproject --- with that many different articles falling within its scope, would the contributors actually be contributing to the project intentionally, or would their work just be getting a random tag slapped on their talk pages after the fact? I don't mean to discourage you from starting a Wookieeproject, but I would recommend a narrower focus. Ones with such a broad scope kinda come off as Wookieeprojects for the sake of Wookieeprojects. I might be way off in my interpretation, though, so go ahead and gimme the more detailed plan. Menkooroo (talk) 12:34, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
TERC list of main characters
Revan and Deceived list characters in their Dramatis Personae that TERC doesn't list. Do we list TERC over the book or is it the other way around? DarthRevan1173
(Long live Lord Revan) 01:34, December 7, 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should go by the novels as it it's more subjective and the authors' word is more reliable than the Essential Guide. I'll be deleting or adding changes considering the TERC Listing as I don't know the source of the others Dramatis Personae lists. If you can confirm that those listings were sourced to the Novels themselves, then please feel free to revert my modifications on it. Winterz (talk) 01:40, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

- Thank you. Supreme Emperor (talk) 02:53, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

In response to your question on your Abrion Major CAN, I do not believe that the article requires a description section. The only thing that might qualify is the fact that it was an agriworld, which would in my opinion fit in fine with the history section.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 03:27, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
