Revanchist (faction)

Hey Kasra. I'm going to give you a preliminary account of the issues I believe you should deal with. I can take a look at the article again after you have fixed them up, in order to polish it up for the GAN page.

  • First item is that I think you need to turn the members section into something that is seen with the Black Vulkars. The Key members would be Revan, Alek, and the Jedi Exile.
  • In the year 3,964 BBY, the Revanchists, who were also known as the Jedi Crusaders,[6] began to come together and scout the looming Mandalorian threat as the Mandalorian and Republic fleets battled ineffectually within the neutral Republic frontier. Revan began to take his followers to investigate the Mandalorian activities on the Outer Rim, without the Jedi High Council's support. - There is redundant information in these two sentences, and they could probably be combined or reworded.
  • When Alek met Zayne Carrick that first time, it really isn't all that pertinent as to what Alek thought of Carrick. What is important is what Carrick's masters thought of the Revanchists worrying about the Mandalorians. That needs to be included.
  • In issue six, the news or something similar, talks about how Jedi have left to fight in the "crusade," and that many of them are already missing in action. You should add this in.
  • In issue eight, one of the Jedi at Flashpoint talks about how they were ambushed at Suurja, and that that planet was the first "outing" for the Crusaders. There is nothing in there about Revan leaving to take a look at Onderon and Dxun.
  • It is in issue nine that we learn that Revan left them to go to Onderon and Dxun. Also it appears that the Revanchists were kidnapped before the battle. Please double check this. There is an important scene between Revan and the High Council in this issue that I feel needs to be detailed a bit more.
  • In issue ten there is more information about Revan having a vision of what the Mandalorians are doing and going to investigate it. He also has some plans for the Crusaders and they will follow him through the tough times. You need to detail some of this a bit more.
  • I don't see them mentioned in issue 14. Please double check this.
  • Issue fifteen talks about the Crusaders scouting around the lines. Also remember that it is probable that the Exile was a scout on Serroco. In KotOR II, Atton Rand mentions she was there. This may be useful to add in somehow.
  • Issue nineteen, Alek talks about how some of them had visions about Adasca's exogorths. Plus there is some more details about the meeting on the Legacy to be found in issue twenty as well. This needs to be detailed a bit more.
  • You need to detail the information from Galactic Republic Defense Ministry Daily Brief KD0092 a bit more.
  • The Council approved his motion ordering the recall, or even detention, of the Revanchists.[14] After Alek, who was going by the alias "Malak" in order to avoid the warrant for his arrest,[15] testified against the Covenant on behalf of the fugitive Jedi Zayne Carrick, he was sent back to Revan and his Jedi with a final warning. - This needs more context. These sentences don't connect to each other very much.
  • I think you need to talk a bit about how the Jedi Council warned them that they would become corrupted and end up like the Mandalorian aggressors.
  • Eventually, in the year 3,961 BBY, Revan found an ancient Star Map on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk that was left by the Rakata, an ancient civilization that ruled the galaxy approximately 20,000 years earlier. He then discovered a planet called Malachor V - What does this Star Map have to do with Malachor V? These pieces of information need to connect to each other.
  • OK, start with these changes, and I'll look over the article again. I have changed and added some appearances. Make sure that you have all of them. Let me know when you are ready to have me look at the article again. Cylka-talk- 20:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Duel on the Star Forge

OK, Kasra, here is my preliminary review of Duel on the Star Forge.

  • I would add in a small Prelude section before the Final confrontation section. It can give a brief explanation of the search for the Star Forge, Revan arriving on the Star Forge with his companions aboard the Ebon Hawk, meeting the other Jedi, redeeming Bastila, etc. This should really only be a paragraph long. This section is needed to give context for the last sentence of Malak's death.
  • The first paragraph of the Final confrontation section is all one sentence and needs to be broken up. You also need to add in a bit more context for Revan and Malak. Bastila is cut out of here, and added to the Prelude since she is not important to the duel.
  • Revan's arrival was unexpected, - For whom was it unexpected? Malak only, or others as well?
  • After Revan got past the droids, Malak realized that Revan had become much stronger than he ever was as the Dark Lord. Malak was tempted to try and capture his former Master alive, so that he could break him, and make Revan become his own apprentice. However, Revan said that he would never turn to the dark side again - I would explain this a bit in that this was a conversation between them as they were preparing to fight.
  • He then used the Force to drain the life-force from one of eight captive Jedi that he captured from the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, when he and his forces attacked the planet. Revan destroyed the other stasis pods, letting the other Jedi become one with the Force. - This needs to be explained a lot more. Most readers will have not played the game, so they will not understand all that went on here.
  • I would expand the Aftermath section a bit more in regards to Revan and Bastila's roles and Revan's eventual departure. I would, however, cut out the whole second paragraph dealing with Traya and the Korriban academy since you will need to give a great deal of context to that and that will likely double the article. The events of KotOR are not vital to this duel.
  • You gave the cheat code for the Xbox version of the game, so you also need to give the cheat for the PC version, since it is present there as well. I don't exactly remember the cheat, but I'm sure that you could easily find it. I would cite the cheats to MobyGames or something similar.
  • Please let me know when you have taken care of these and I will go through the article again. It is looking good, Kasra. Cylka-talk- 12:34, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Revan Intro Changes

I'm going to edit the Revan intro again at some point. For courtesy's sake (btw, if you had a problem with the intro couldn't you have brought it up in the three days in which it sat on the discussion page?) here's a breakdown of my thoughts regarding your changes:

What I'll Keep

  1. "helped defeat the Sith Empire" is more accurate than "saw the Sith Empire defeated". A worthy change. Thanks.
  2. "a Jedi strike team led by Shan boarded Revan's flagship and battled its way to the Dark Lord" Is more accurate and informative than what I had down originally. Good job.
  3. I got the dashes wrong inbetween "galaxy at large", thanks for fixing that.
  4. Republic commander Carth Onasi - Might be better dropping the "Republic" (just for structure's sake) but I wasn't aware/had forgotten he was a commander, so nice job adding it in.
  5. "the Jedi Council on Dantooine retrained Revan and charged him with discovering the source of Malak's fleet." I prefer the way you worded this overall. I would put "colossal" back in front of "Malak's fleet" however, though that's more of a stylistic thing.
  6. Didn't realise I'd linked Star Maps twice -- thanks for changing that.
  7. Linking "killing" to "skirmish aboard the Leviathan" was a good call, I think.
  8. Linking "a year later" to 3,955 BBY. I should have done that. Oops.
  9. In fact, all the links to specific articles I wasn't aware of were good calls. Thanks.

What I'll keep if you can prove it

  1. Malak fired upon Revan from aboard the Leviathan -- where is this stated? The KotOR CG? It's certainly not in the game. I wasn't aware we knew from which ship Malak launched his assault. You may be right but I'd like to see a source.

What I'll Remove/Change

  1. Species/Gender is unnecessary. That's what the infobox is for. It's certainly not a requirement for an FA, see Tycho Celchu or Kol Skywalker for example. All you've done is make the sentence longer for no good reason.
  2. "The Republic fleet under his direct control": We're specifically told in KotOR I that Revan had only a third of the (entire) Republic Navy/Fleet under his *direct* control, even though he was in overall command of everything by the end of the war.
  3. Echo: "Revan tracked down ancient Rakatan Star Maps in pursuit of the Star Forge, a superweapon of the Rakatan Infinite Empire." The second "Rakatan" is unnecessary. Try saying the above out loud, too. It sounds weird.
  4. "Jedi Knight Bastila Shan". Bastila was a Padawan during Revan's reign (and for at least some of Malak's), not a Jedi Knight. "Padawan Shan you are already familiar with" - Zhar I specified Padawan for a reason. It's dumb, sure, but that's what the game says.
  5. Echo: "Caught by surprise, Revan was incapacitated by Malak's attack and then captured by the strike team while Malak, believing his Master destroyed, seized control of the Sith Empire." Two "Malaks" in one sentence looks bad, bland and boring. You've made this sentence worse for no good reason. Why? "While his traitorous apprentice" was both accurate and engaging to the reader.
  6. "Unable to restore Revan's true persona". You're making assumptions. There are conflicting sources. Some say they were unable, others that they were unwilling (we even have a section on that in the article, don't we?). The intro must take both into account.
  7. "the Sith fleet's commander" - why even make this change? Sure, you cut down on one word, but it doesn't look half as nice as "commander of the Sith fleet".
  8. "After killing Karath and attempting to escape the Leviathan". Yeah, we know they're on the Leviathan, why the repetition? The original sentence had more punch.
  9. "On Rakata Prime, when Shan, whom Malak had broken to his will, attempted to turn Revan back to the dark side, Revan rejected her pleas. As the Republic fleet attacked the Star Forge in the Rakata system, Revan boarded the ancient space station, turned Shan back to the light, and vanquished Malak in a duel, thereby defeating the Sith Empire and bringing the war he had instigated to a close." I appreciate what you were trying to do here, but it looks a bit clunky. I'll keep the additional information you've added but I'm going to pretty it up a bit. ;)
  10. "Three hundred years after the Jedi Civil War's end, Revan was believed to have never returned to the galaxy." Looks poor, sorry. You also got the date wrong. The FAQ over at the TOR website (which tells us that "Revan never returned") is speaking of the situation during the "present day" of TOR, which is [[3,623 BBY]]. 3653 BBY is the year the Treaty of Coruscant was signed. Again, I did do my research. If you think I'm wrong about something (and I can be, because I'm human) please bring it up with me before you just change it. Because you might be wrong.

Stuff I'm just curious about

  1. Why'd you change all references to Lehon to "Rakata Prime"? Just curious. Seems a bit superficial.

Thanks for your time and sorry if it seems like I'm having a go at you. That's not my intention. Later, dude. Uli Talk 02:26, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

  • I've responded to your response over at my own talk page. Uli Talk 21:02, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I've done the edit. Extending the Rakata System stuff seemed too forced, so I ended up keeping it closer to how it used to be, whilst bringing in all but the "space station" link you'd made. I've also got "human male" into the introduction without making the first sentence overcrowded. I just called Bastila a "Jedi", so that way we have all our bases covered. :P Uli Talk 16:37, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Cade Skywalkah

Hey Kasra! I see that you're working on Cade Skywalker. Awesome stuff, and props for doing that. I hope I can help out: If you check out the article on Legacy, there are some points in the "Crafting the galaxy" subsection of "Conception" that you might want to mine for Bts. Cheers! Menkooroo 06:16, December 27, 2009 (UTC)

  • I would love to help out! Although truthfully, I don't know how much of a help I can be... I'm in South Korea until next October, and have missed out on the last few issues of Legacy, which I won't be able to read until the eventual Monster trade paperback. All of the work I've been doing on the IK's lately is based on Premium-Era-real this ridiculously detailed on starwars.wikia.com (backup link not verified!) writeup of them I did a year ago, before I had an idea of how to actually write an FA, and the Legacy Era Campaign Guide, which I shoved into my suitcase. With that said, though, I think I could probably help out with Cade in the following ways:
    • Behind the scenes: Yup, definitely. The stuff from the Legacy article, plus action figure, miniature, and whatever else I find tomorrow. My students are on winter break right now, so I can actually dedicate quite a bit of time at work to doing this. :^P
    • Personality and traits: I'll be able to write a pretty beefy section, but without the actual comics to check on, it may be slightly incomplete.
    • Powers and abilities: Per above.
    • Anything from the Campaign Guide: I totally gotcho back on this one.
  • I'll start a new workbench at work tomorrow and update you as I go along. Thanks for the invite! Menkooroo 17:51, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
  1. Cade in Manhattan
    • Check out your workbench; I did a bunch of work on Bts today. Let me know what you think, and feel free to either request or make any changes. More to come as I comb through old forum posts by and interviews with Ostrander and Duursema. Also --- could you check out Trust Issues? He's listed as only appearing in a hologram in the Appearances section, but I'm pretty sure there are a few panels of him getting beaten up by some thugs on the Wheel. Menkooroo 05:40, December 29, 2009 (UTC)
    • I would love to be a co-nom! Probably won't be able to happen for a while, though, as you and I are both already above the three-nom limit. :^D I just did a bunch of work on personality and traits, and moved some of what you had in there to a new section, armor and equipment. Let me know what you think. While writing it, I though it was a good idea to do it somewhat chronologically, as Cade has been developing as a character for 43 issues now, and following that development was necessary in order to write a sensical p&t section. So, for example, instead of having one paragraph that covered all of the times he says "No one dies for me", I thought it made more sense to split them up. Again, feel free to make or request any changes at all. I'll be back to write the "relationships" section later. Menkooroo 07:03, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
    • Really? Who is the dude getting beat up by the thugs in those panels, then? ... Or am I just remembering it very wrong? Anyway.Sorry I haven't contributed in a few days; I should be able to do more in the next week. Relationships and prob. a bit of powers and abilities. Menkooroo 15:34, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

    • I'm not sure if I'd be able to do a good job on Deliah without the comics in front of me. Sorry. :^( I have a bit more I want to add to Bts, and it looks like you've already done a great job with powers and abilities. Is there anything else you want me to tackle? Menkooroo 17:58, February 2, 2010 (UTC)
      • Right! A pre-nom review. :^D I knew I was forgetting something important. I will definitely do that. Also, what kind of images are you looking for? More for the bio? There are a few images currently in Cade's actual article that I think you could fit in well: nyah, nyah, and nyah. Menkooroo 18:25, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

C-C-C-Cade

Hey Kasra,

Sorry I've been such a dink with the Cade pre-nom review. There's really no reason that I shouldn't have it done this weekend. However...

There's been a lot of talk on the FAN Page lately about Rule 5: An article must be constant, and not be changing from day-to-day. A couple of inqs have pointed this out to me with my Antares Draco nom, and he's usually only in a few issues per year before disappearing for twelve or so months. Cade, on the other hand, is Legacy's protagonist, and basically every month, his article would have to be updated with new info. Any inq that gave the article their support would need to do an additional review whenever a new Duursema-pencilled Legacy issue was released, which means that for the FAN to pass, it would need all five inqvotes to come within a month of eachother.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't nominate it --- I'm just wondering what we can do to be proactive about this problem. Do you have any suggestions?

It's not impossible for a character who's the protagonist of current media to be FA'd, but with Cade, I can see it being a long, drawn-out process that the inq's would eventually abandon, in spite of the article's quality. Even if it was nominated by another inq.

Whaddya think? Menkooroo 01:12, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • Also! Here's what I think you should do. After the bio is cleaned up, the intro is rewritten, some more images are added, and a bit about his relationship with Blue is put in --- I think you should transfer all of this to Cade's actual article. Sure, you won't be FANing it, but to keep all of this info here while we waited for Legacy to end (which could (and hopefully will be)) many years from now would be detrimental to the Wook. Share the knowledge! Menkooroo 14:14, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

Coruscant help

Hey, I know that KotOR covers some of the history of the Rakata and early galactic history. I'm trying to find sources for a lot of the information that is in the Coruscant article in the Pre-Republic and Early Republic sections that talks about the Rakata and the Zhell and so on. Do you know anything that could help me out? Thanks. Coruscantfan 23:41, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • Cool! Well I'm trying to get back it's FA status. Mostly the problem with the article is that it has plenty of information, just no sources or little there of. And I don't have access to a lot of reference material, our library is pathetic when it comes to Star Wars! So yeah... Coruscantfan 23:49, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks!! Coruscantfan 23:57, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
      • If you want to call me that go ahead. ;-) Ok, glad you remembered, I've been working on the article and I have sourced some of that Pre-Republic material in both the article and info box but if you look you'll see its mostly a source per paragraph based on other articles and I don't have the nitty gritty details sourced or the information truly confirmed. Looking forward to it. Thanks! Coruscantfan 04:28, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
        • Yes, I do. Coruscantfan 17:10, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
          • Cool, now would be fine. Are you on the regular channel or on one of the project channels? Coruscantfan 17:17, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
            • OK, well, I though I did but it keeps kicking me off. I'm trying to log on using the link at http://irc.wikia.com/starwars/ and I'm inputting Coruscantfan as user name and it won't let me on. Suggestions? Coruscantfan 17:29, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
              • Yeah that works but I'm loosing my Internet connection. I'm in a dorm and I believe they just started work on it. Its fading in and out. Can you leave the info on my talk? I'll try again tonight when they leave. Sorry! Coruscantfan 17:38, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
                • When I log in using the link you provided, is it supposed to kick into the #wookieepedia-social channel? Cause I type in just #wookieepdia. Yes I finally have my internet back!!!! :-) Coruscantfan 00:26, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

Revan in TOR

It will be interesting indeed! Looks like we'll finally be able to write the conclusion to this legendary Jedi's story! Hey Karsa, thanks for the introduction! :) I was just looking over your portfolio, it looks like both you and Menk have done some really impressive work here at the Wook! I'm glad to be back and working with you guys. (And don't worry, I've got plenty of other noms forthcoming. :D) — Hunter Kahn 14:17, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'd be happy to help in the future, but to be honest, I'm not as familiar with KotOR as I ought to be. Maybe I'll brush up though! I'll try to take a look and give them a review. And if you like OOU noms, feel free to check out George Roubicek! :D — Hunter Kahn 14:33, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

Background to KOTOR events

Hello Kasra, I'm working on Endar Spire and noticed a strange difference in an interpretation of events between some articles. Could you please verify the following information: 1- Was the purpose of having Revan near Shan all the time so that his memories of the Star Forge would be triggered? 2- Did three Republic soldiers also escape the ship? Did Revan meet up with them on Taris, or did were they captured by Bandon? 3- How many beds were in the crew quarters Revan wakes up in? There's nothing mentioned of the crew quarters in the article, and I'd like to add it in. Thank you! Re: 99

If you're looking for all pertinent source info on him: yes, the episodes and the director's commentaries for both episodes (which normally only have Bts stuff), and also 99's clone card and the two CN.com dataclips for the episodes should all be checked for info. The dataclips have tidbits of info linked to them (the buttons to access them will appear while you're playing the videos through), so they might have some info on him. Hope that helps. • Just a quick response to the Mandalore thing, I always saw that as because we didn't know the real names of the other Mandalores. Sorry about the large number of edits I've made to your talk page, I'm getting some weird errors whenever I try to post here. Anyways, I've dealt with almost all the other objections now, except the one regarding the nowiki refs (again, not so good with those) where I'm not entirely sure what you want me to remove, sorry! As for the image, I'm actually waiting on either Redemption or Darth Culator to be freed up enough to take a new one, but I guess it would be better to take it down for now. Thanks! I would love it if you could give it a pre-nom look over. I'll let you know as soon as she's ready, I still have a few more sections to go but she's close. Malak FAN revisited

Hey Kasra. I've completed what I believe to be my final copy-edit of Malak. I made some adjustments and removed a few minor things that seemed to confuse more than help. I do, however, have two more issues that I think need to be cleared up. First of all, the whole "Squint" name isn't very clear in the main article. It's explained well enough in the intro, but needs to be done so in the body, and in greater detail. Secondly, I'm not sure that the whole dark side Revan killing Bindo et al needs to be included since it would need context on who they are. It may be better to simply say that Shan pledged herself to him and they went to the Star Forge. That, however, is a sizable deletion so I wanted to consult with you first. Otherwise, I'm ready to sign-off on the article. Let me know what you think. Cylka-talk- 06:12, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

The Jedi Path

There isn't really any new information on either Revan or Malak, they just receive a single minor mention each, in a section on Sith history that was supposedly written in-universe by the Chief Librarian Restelly Quist. --Jinzler 10:50, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

Malak Bts

Hey Kasra. I ran across something interesting in the dialog files for KotOR I and I thought that it may be something to put in Malak's Bts. According to dialog StrRef 49 246, Malak is said to be Revan's last surviving apprentice. I have no idea if this means that Revan had other official apprentices or if they are referring to the Revanchists, but it's a fun little piece of trivia anyway. Hey Kasra. I was looking at the CSWE entry for Squint and I think that it would be a good idea to add that the other Jedi gave him this nickname because the couldn't pronounce his last name. It also says that Squint was an alias he used on Taris. Cylka-talk- 15:30, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

KotOR Guide

Hey, Kasra. As you may already know (or don't), I've joined WP:KotOR and decided to work on a few minor characters from the first game. The problem is, I don't have the game's Prima guide. I know you've checked it already for Soresu, and I browsed through your responses to him, but I haven't found any mention of Jergan and Lana. Are they mentioned in the guide? QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 14:47, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks. No, I don't really go on IRC, but I'll do that if need arises. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 12:45, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Karath

Hey Kasra. If you don't mind, can we go over Karath sometime next week? I'm going to be going back home in a couple of days and from I understand, my internet connection is down back home. I'll need a few days once I'm there to get it fixed. My time is going to be a bit screwy for a short while. Sorry about the delay. Cylka-talk- 01:51, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Rakghoul meal victim

Hey, Kasra. Me again. Is there anything on this guy in the guide? I've checked the book's preview on Amazon that details the serum quest and found no mention of him, but I want to make sure. Thanks. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 12:24, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Star Wars Galaxy Comic

Hey Kasra, just to let you know, I don't think the Star Wars Galaxy Comic has anything new in it. It looks like a collection of reprints much like Star Wars Comic UK was. I saw your comment and guessed that you thought there was another issue of the Purge "series" in there; I think it is just a reprint of The Hidden Blade so there shouldn't be any need to worry. Also, if you have time to review my Goethar Kleej FA nom, it'd be much appreciated! Cheers, NAYAYEN 13:51, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Wynn/Ban Image

You're quite welcome, but I can't take credit for uploading it, haha. I was just looking through Redemption's talk page and noticed it laying around there so I added it to the Uthar Wynn article. Ruthless Xero 02:56, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Noms and LMW

Hello there. I was hoping you could review Arena Theme and General Grievous' Theme as they're up for GAN. Don't worry if you don't know much about music. Menkooroo has that area covered. Also, I noticed you're a Christian. If you're interested in Christian music, feel free to visit LifeMusic Wiki, a wiki on Christian music that I started. Anyway, thanks for your time and God bless! Malak/Chantique

Hey Kasra, I am so sorry for the late response. Work and classes have been killer lately so my productivity on the wook has been greatly downgraded. But I promise, I'll do what I can do give Malak a full review soon, and hopefully I'll have time to take down thorough Satele notes for you. Hey, Kasra. I saw some of your recent edits and just wanted to remind you that the Dialogue template for quotes should be reserved for more than two speakers. The Quote template should be used for one or two speakers, per the MOS. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:48, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Revan

Hey Kasra, things are going pretty well, finals just finished so I felt confident enough to put Canderous up for nomination. Hopefully Cylka will be back soon too to finish up her review. In any case, I'd be glad to work on Revan between fixing up Canderous, so just let me know what you need and I'll do my best to get on it! KOTOR meeting

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that we're trying to have a meeting on Saturday 18th December at 23:00 UTC. –Tm_T (Talk) 13:47, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Reviews

Thanks, Kasra. I read through almost all of it prior to it being promoted—I was hard-pressed to find errors, and most of them were caught by other reviewers. It really is a great article, and you deserve some serious congratulations for authoring it. Hopefully I'll finish it all up soon and be able to give you any notes I feel it might need. And thanks again for the offer to review my FANs. I always appreciate your input. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 01:05, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yes we do! I'll try to get some substantive organization going for Demagol soon. As for the meeting, I get off work as it starts, so barring any unforeseen circumstances, I should be there, if only late. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 01:07, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Extremes in 138ABY

The front cover says "138 years after A New Hope - the future of Star Wars!" or something akin to that. Since Fate of Dac is in Extremes, the best I can figure is that the year changed during the Evacuation of Dac. --The Great and Grand Count Mall! 00:43, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

WP:TCW

Hey Kasra. As a holder of a reserved project (or projects) for WP:TCW, I'd like to notify you that all reserved projects that have not seen any recent activity are being removed in an attempt to do some "cleaning" for the new year. You are welcome to reclaim any projects by re-entering them on the list; this is just an attempt to clear out those projects that may never see any work at all. Please contact me with any questions you may have, and have a happy new year. :) CC7567 (talk) 23:15, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

WP:NSW check-in

Knighterrant5cvr
A look to the future…
Hello Kasra, happy new year! This is a friendly check-in from your new project head of WookieeProject New Sith Wars. Our activity has been lagging a bit of late, with only one new Featured article and one new Good article in the last three months, and no Comprehensive articles at all since their creation back in June. If you're still interested in participating in the project, I'd like to encourage you to pick an article or two to write and mark it down on our current projects listing when you have the chance. Also, if you have any questions/suggestions regarding WP:NSW, don't hesitate to ask/let me know. Let's see if we can't get this project up and running! Cheers! Page move

Hey Kasra. When you get a chance, I would appreciate it if you could update these links left behind from the recent page moves you've made. "Unidentified Mandalorian female" should be deleted as a redirect to your GAN, but these links needs to be amended first. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:12, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

In need of your advice

Hey Kasra, I hope all is going well for you and you're having an enjoyable winter season. Long time no talk, eh? Well anyway, I'm in need of some of your advice and expertise. In my article on Chantique, I make mention of Zayne Carrick's journey to Volgax where he tried to infiltrate the Crucible. I termed it as a mission, so Tommy asked if this should be made into an article in his review on Chantique's FAN page. Having read the OS, I really don't think this "event" should get an article of its own, because it doesn't really fit the criteria for a "mission" article (combatants, casualties, whatnot). However, I wanted to get your opinion first, given your knowledge of the subject matter. Whadya think? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 10:45, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Kasra. I'm very rarely on the IRC, but I do pop in from time to time. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:13, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

My inactivity

Hey Kasra. Education will be getting more intense and important in my life over the next year or two, and that, combined with some other personal issues, means that I won't be on the site anymore (although I've stopped short of the {{user left}} template). I'm not going to be able to continue my duties as an EC or as a member or the KOTOR WookieeProject, so I'm offering my resignation from both. Hope it's not too much bother. I wish you, the project, the site, and all the good users of Wookieepedia well. Thanks :) SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 00:56, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Rasi

Hey Kasra. I was looking over some of the recent edits to the Rasi Tuum article you've made per GT's objections, and I was hoping to see if you could tweak a sentence around to avoid some repetitive wording, specifically the dual use of "inquire" in these two near-successive sentences. My appreciation: "The Jedi inquired as to why Syn was attacking him as he cut three more bugs in half with his lightsaber." and "Inquiring as to the identity of his attacker, Tuum allowed Syn, who had witnessed the Jedi kill his father, to tell his version of the events." Thank you for letting me know about your interest in Neyo. I am almost done with the article, so you can review it soon. However, I have encountered one problem with Neyo. I do not actually have Insider 84 or the Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic, so I've had to borrow information from other Users. If you have the Insider 84, could you quickly go through and check if I wrote and sourced everything properly. Kilson 22:59, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

Satele Shan

Hey Kasra, I remember hearing that you were planning on working on Satele at some point, and in the wake of her article being merged with the Jedi from the Battle of Alderaan, I'd love to co-nom her with you if you'd be ok with that. I don't have access to a lot of the sources (mainly comics) that she appears in so I think it would be ideal to work with a partner on this. Of course Canderous still has to get through the process and Revan should be our first priority, but I just wanted to make the suggestion. Implant Level System

Hello, I was requested to ask someone who was part of WP:KOTOR about the Implant Level System used in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. My main question is whether or not the Implant Level System is an in-universe term or if it should just be treated as game-mechanics. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 22:07, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hey it's Chuckie. On wikipwdia I created a page on Colonel James Braddock who is played by Chuck Norris in the Missing In Actin Films. Mandalore the Vindicated

Hmm... I don't think anyone is working on him at the moment. He features heavily in the Bounty Hunter storyline, but I don't know anything about it. According to the guild page, SavageBob and Ayrehead have Bounty Hunter characters, but Ayre's on a leave of absence, so I'd try Bob. Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 17:06, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • Also, Jedi Kasra, if you need more info, you can watch the timeline videos (they are all canon) or play the bounty hunter storyline. In the Bounty Hunter storyline, Mandalore works akin to your boss/ally simultaneously, from what I heard, but I don't have a Bounty Hunter yet. Mattto123 22:39, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

Good to see you again

Hey Kasra, good to see you've returned to the fold. Just dropping in to say hi and letting you know that I'm still here as always, though college keeps me busy. Just like everyone else I'm just trying to keep up with the deluge of information pouring in from SWTOR. The ambiguous canonical nature of the player characters and companions of SWTOR don't quite fit my strengths so I've mostly been keeping KOTOR related things up to date and providing info as a player of the game. However if you're still up for Project Revan I am of course still in, and if you and Trayus will have me, I'd be happy to lend a hand on Project Meetra Surik as well! Once again, welcome back and I look forward to working with you once again. JethLordMasterYing yang copy (Xia Order) 08:06, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kasra! Sorry about the communications gap—life got a little hectic for a few weeks. But I'm good now. I'd love to get started on Meetra; let's talk about methodology and go from there. Prenoms

Sure, but probably not soon. Three prenoms is quite a bit. Before I review, though, I can tell you that Torlin and Haako should have images of themselves instead of other people. I know a handsome guy who can get them for you. ;) Menkooroo (talk) 18:38, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

  • Haako!!
    • The infobox is missing two paramaters at the top.
    • "... was born in the time period of the Sith–Imperial War." That doesn't sound right. I know that "time period" is a little vague, but it still kind of sounds like it's nailing his birth down to some point during the three-year conflict. Maybe something like "before the end of the war" would be more accurate? Also, can it be sourced to Legacy 9, or should the Campaign Guide be the source there?
    • For chronology's sake, if Torlin has used Haako's services before 137 ABY, I think the biography's first paragraph should mention that, rather than have the second paragraph backtrack to it.
  • I think that's all I have for the little rat. Good stuff. Menkooroo (talk) 21:05, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the review, Jeff, I believe I've taken care of your objections.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:20, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
      • No more beefs from me. I'll get to Torlin tonight! Menkooroo (talk) 00:01, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
  • Hey there! You signed out of IRC just as I was leaving my notes for Torlin. Here they are:
    • This is really well-written. Good job. Just a few things:
    • the first paragraph of the biography uses the word "Sith" a lot in close succession. "He accepted a role as an operative for the Sith,[1] using his limited knowledge of the dark side of the Force to assist him in his missions for the Sith." stood out the most, as both parts of the sentence end with "for the Sith." Can you do some word-varying?
    • The Cade-lookalike leader of the thugs aboard the Wheel should get an article, since he's a character with unique dialogue and actions. I'll provide the image. :D
    • probably worth noting just why Corde arranged the thug attack.
    • no reason to have two consecutive images on the left. If you're worried about moving the death image to the left and pushing the "Behind the scenes" title further to the right, you could always move the image up before the quote. There's no rule against that, and some users actually prefer it.
    • Like with Haako, can you note early in the bio that he's used his services before? Maybe when you first mention the Wheel? Menkooroo (talk) 05:12, July 23, 2012 (UTC)
  • Vurik:
    • At the beginning of the bio: "The male Darth Vurik..." Without a known species, this reads kind of weird. It makes it sound like there are both a male and a female Darth Vurik, and that this article is about the male one. Can you reword?
    • Does Jan's forum post really apply here? She confirmed that tattoos = Sith Lord, but we don't know if Vurik has tattoos or not.
    • "during the Second Imperial Civil War." is currently sourced to Legacy 1, but since it's talking about Vurik, GOI might be a better source for it.
    • Just to clarify: Can 3,956 BBY be sourced to GOI?
    • For chronology's sake, can you mention that Vurik killed several Jedi before mentioning that he lost the battle and retreated?
    • Does GOI say that his battle with the Jedi is a lightsaber duel? I ask because "lightsaber" isn't mentioned once in the article. Menkooroo (talk) 03:14, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

Pre-nom review

Hey Kasra, could you do a pre-nom review of Duel on the Temple of the Ancients. I think i have done everything necessary to get it nominated, but am not sure. Also do I need it copy-edited before you review or after? Going for GA nom. DarthRevan1173 (talk) 01:23, August 3, 2012 (UTC)

Mira on Korriban

I took a second look at the Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide: Updated and Expanded. It comfirms that Mira fights a Sith Assassin. But if you look at the picture the background is Nar Shaddaa. The text says "Bounty Hunter vs. Sith: A bounty hunter and scout based on the world of Nar Shaddaa, Mira learns to harness the Force. Equiped with a wrist launcher that can fire rockets, darts, and grenades, she holds her own against a Sith assassin who wields two lightsabers." It doesn't say anywhere on the page she fights in the Korriban Academy. DarthRevan1173 (talk) 22:31, August 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • I agree, I have seen the picture and the background is indeed Nar Shaddaa. I think the caption should be changed. Matt Seay (talk) 22:36, August 4, 2012 (UTC)

Revan a Master

I saw on the wpkotor page you and JethLordMaster are working on Revan. Are you gonna reflect how in The Old Republic: Revan Karpyshyn states that Revan is a Jedi Master? DarthRevan1173 (talk) 00:55, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

Appearances

Hey Kasra got a question for ya, something that I don't understand. With The Old Republic Revan having two parts each four years away from each other. What's the logic behind if something appears in the second half like revan's mask for instance that the appearance is before Kotor II when the second part is after Kotor II. Just something I have yet to understand about this site. DarthRevan1173 (talk) 06:03, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

Revan's fate

Hey Kasra just got an email back from Karpyshyn about Revan's fate. He says that Revan's fate is still being determined. His exact words are "Actually, his fate is still to be determined. I'm no longer with BioWare, but he clearly disappears in a blazing flash of light before being killed, so I think it's safe to say they left the door open for him to return. But since I'm retired from video games, I have no idea what they have planned." Should I reference this in the talk page and upload the email as a source? DarthRevan1173 (talk) 23:50, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

I have written the section on his fate but how should I do the email when I do it as a thumb it makes the pic blurry and you can't read it. DarthRevan1173 (talk) 05:04, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kasra you mind looking over Duel on the Temple of the Ancients before I re-nominate it for FAN. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 07:15, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

Battle of Korriban

Hey Kasra I just got comfirmation back from Drew Karpyshyn that the Battle of Korriban (Old Sith Wars) and the Skirmish on Korriban are one and the same. Should I merge them and add a reference under behind the scenes that they were comfirmed to be one and the same? DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 07:35, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Kace

Nah, I kinda like the current image better. I just prefer the more realistic art style of the cover art. Thanks for trying to help, anyway. Maybe I'll be able to find a place for your image somewhere else in the article. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 17:45, September 25, 2012 (UTC)

Neyo in CSWE

Hey Kasra I have a question about CC-8826: in his source list you just cite his entry from The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, but would he also be mentioned in Stass Allie's entry, in which case that would need to be cited too? I would believe he most likely would also be mentioned by Stass Allie's entry. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 03:00, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • There's no reason per se that Allie's entry would have to be cited in the "Sources" section; many users just use the template to cite the article's subject. It's a template that was designed for "Notes and references" rather than for "Sources," so its implementation in "Sources" is inconsistent from user to user, but none of them are wrong, if that makes sense. Menkooroo (talk) 03:18, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • Are there other cases of articles mentioned in more than than just their own entry that just have their own entry in sources? For example, would it have been acceptable to just cite The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I ("Carlson, Sergeant Brooks") instead of The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I ("Carlson, Sergeant Brooks," "Beezer, Corporal") in Brooks Carlson's sourcelist? That's the main reason why I like just writing the ordinary CSWE sans template in source list, to avoid any complications in citing the source. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:16, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
      • Yeah, I've recently taken to not using the template in the "Sources" list, either. 2011 was a different story; see Lumpawaroo and Jowdrrl for examples. I know that's the method that Kasra likes to use, too. Menkooroo (talk) 04:23, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
        • I believe Kensaric was the first article in which I didn't use that CSWE template, and after that point I would generally start off just normally citing the Encyclopedia, but if others edited it to become the template I would leave their changes be. Re: "Secret Weapons"

Hey Kasra! I'm doing great, how about you? Long time no… well, "see" isn't the right word since we're on the Internet, but you get what I mean. :P Season Five is dated to c. 20 BBY, per Star Wars: Darth Maul—Death Sentence 1. If you have any questions about the updating, I'd be happy to help; just let me know. I added several Encyclopedia entries to Neyo's article, as well as the episode guide; the latter had some info about his design for "Secret Weapons." (It also has a headshot that was designed but didn't make it into the episode; you might consider adding it to the Bts or somewhere.) Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 21:53, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • Everything looks good. If you can, you might want to find a screenshot from the episode for the first Biography section. CC7567 (talk) 15:03, December 3, 2012 (UTC)

Cressa

Cressa's only mentioned once, in the Galactic History 84: The G0-T0 Coup. "Other G0-T0 droids took more drastic measures. Sixteen of the droids in the Gordian Reach established dictatorships on the worlds they administered, eventually declaring the region an independent territory named "400100500260026." Supreme Chancellor Cressa was forced to deploy the Republic military to reclaim the Gordian Reach. The campaign was a widely publicized success, though not all of the rogue droids were accounted for." Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 01:59, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

    • "The Republic had been established on principles of free speech and tolerance for all sentient beings. Unfortunately, these principles also allowed the growth of fringe groups. During the term of Supreme Chancellor Pers'lya, a fanatical pro-human religious sect calling itself "Pius Dea" emerged."
    • "Many dismissed Pius Dea as just another cult, but the group's intentions were much more sinister. Through political maneuvering, the members conspired to have Chancellor Pers'lya impeached and their own man, Senator Contispex, put in his place. Through Supreme Chancellor Contispex, Pius Dea exploited tensions within the Hutt Empire after the Hutt Cataclysms. Eventually Contispex sanctioned an invasion of Hutt Space, beginning the Pius Dea Crusades."

Re: WP: Kotor

Good to hear it Kasra. It's sad to have to write Cylka off, but I think at this point we're beyond the reasonable waiting period. As always I look forward to working with you. Remember that however inactive I might seem to be, I'm always checking in, even if I don't make any edits. I'll always be ready to start work on Revan and Meetra Surik when the time comes. • Indeed. Congratulations on becoming project head. I look forward to working together on KOTOR/WP:VG stuff, etc. Have fun with the project. :) —Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 02:40, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Image Request

I've added an image to my talk page. Hopefully this will do. If not, it'll probably be about 2 weeks before I can get back to it. Enjoy! —Xwing328(Talk) 07:08, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yep, I can get the second image too. It'll be about 2 weeks before I have access to the book again, so if you don't hear back from me by then or get it from somewhere else, give me another shout. Cheers! —Xwing328(Talk) 22:31, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Query

Hello Jedi Kasra. I do think the Yodapedia article is in error—although I have no more authority in the matter than you or them. Furthermore, I'd say that "22K" would be a very unusual designation for a clone trooper, as it does not follow the typical "Letter (or double letter) + number" format (such as CC-6454 or CT-0000/1010 or A-30. --LelalMekha (talk) 12:40, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hey. I haven't read Plagueis yet, so I honestly have no idea. Sorry. Menkooroo (talk) 03:07, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Your progress on here

Thanks, I appreciate the vote of confidence! I'm just glad I have the opportunity to write about a topic I love, when work allows, lol. I honestly don't remember if you did or did not so no worries! :) Coruscantfan (Talk) 06:06, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
