Page protection

I strongly disagree, Page protection is about preventing vandalism, not simply to prevent users from having their say in a matter that concerns the community, and that is effectively what Ataru is doing. However per Wookieepedia:Administrative autonomy I relise that regardless of where you stand on this matter it would be impossible for you to change it, I also relise that badgering on at Ataru is not going to be constructive, I voice my concern over the protection of the page, he clear stated that he stood by the protection, as far as I can see that is the end of the story, cheers — RC-1136 Hate Mail Here 10:05, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Ref tags

Hey Greyman; you remember that problem with the ref tags we were having not picking up the sucession boxes since they were below the {{Reflist}}? Sannse left this message on my talk page. Basically, from now, all our succession box sourcing is—and will be—wrong. We may have to think about dropping the Reflist template to below the succession boxes or not sourcing them at all (which is obviously not the preferred option). - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 08:26, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Mandalore

Some things from me:

  • Contextify Krath on first mention in body.
  • You talk about Qel-Droma wishing to escalate his war, but you don't say what war that was.
  • I'd also rename the section marked "Mandalorian armor" to something a little more specific
  • "Mandalore the Indomitable was an intimidating figure in his own right" I'd say this is a little POVish.
  • "he used his skills as a warrior and his natural skills" Some awkward wording here.
  • "As a leader, Mandalore had no equal and he was able to inspire his vast army to do his bidding." Definitely POV.

  • Just in case you're curious as to where this little project stands, here are the statistics:
  1. Total length: 309 kilobytes, which is 90 KB longer than the actual Luke Skywalker article. Does not include material on the second page.
  2. 110 sources crossed off the expansion list.
  3. Unique references: 143
  4. Net growth over 2008: 180 KB.

I realize that the original goal I set—which was to nominate Luke for GA by the end of 2008—was not accomplished. For one, I didn't know exactly how much stuff there is out there on Luke. Turns out, about half of all continuity. Two, I've been distracted with other, smaller projects, particularly over the past few months. template changes

Hey, just to let you know, i know we talked before about the changes that needed to be done (or undone depending on how you look at it) to the templates for ad reasons. Now that logged in users dont see ads, the big boss like people are starting to put pressure on the wikis that went out of their way to add tables and other code to things to mess with the ad selection code (ie, forcing banners vs boxes) from the before time. I hope you guys understand why we need to do this. and i also hope that you'll pass this message along to the other admins here in a way they will understand. --Uberfuzzy 01:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Editing summaries

I don't appreciate your sarcastic edit summaries geared toward myself for putting your articles up for AC review. I don't discriminate between small fixes and big fixes, I identity the articles that are lacking, and if you had fixed your articles in the first place, then maybe you wouldn't be in this situation. I don't presume to know a source when I've never read it, and so I don't make the changes myself. If you can't handle the stresses of the site while you're away without degrading to this type of disrespectful behavior, then perhaps you should reconsider your editing time. I thank you for making the changes to satisfy the current GA requirements, and I ask that you refrain from making such disrespectful comments in edit summaries in the future. If you have an issue with an individual or the process of GAN, then you are welcome to bring it up for discussion with any one of the current AC members.
