New Jedi Order

Why revert? Shouldn't Organizations have their Emblems on their page? --Sigmaecho 01:18, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Not fan created ones. And the one that you placed there you labeled as being created by yourself. Greyman(Paratus) 01:20, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
    • I didn't design the emblem, it's an official logo - Just that particular file is an original creation, and thus free to use.--Sigmaecho 01:54, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
      • If it is, then upload it from a canon source and tag it with the book where it was scanned from. Please see our Image policy for any further questions regarding the use of images on Wookieepedia. Greyman(Paratus) 01:58, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Sylvar nom

Hey, Imp left a bunch of image-related objections to the Cat Lady, and I was wondering if you could help me out with them, and/or possibly teach me how to take care of it. Thanks.—Graestan 20px (This party's over) 13:46, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Blanking my talk page

TOTJ Project

Take a look at the images in the first half of the Odan-Urr article. If you think the quality of my scans warrants it, just let me know if there are any images from the TOTJ project that could use better scans (The Odan-Urr are done at 600dpi). I have all the TPBs except The Freedon Nadd Uprising, and now that I've got my scanner issues fixed and can scan better images at higher than 150dpi, I'm happy to help out if you'd like. - JMAS 22:08, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Would you be so kind as to delete the old revisions of File:Image009.jpg. I just scanned a higher res, better quality, and not artificially darkened version of this image of Memit Nadill and it keeps getting reverted. Thanks - JMAS 02:52, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Executor-class article

I plan to do some touching up on that article later today, and would like to see it reopened. Never saw any resolution to that edit war, but it's been over a month now. VT-16 13:49, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Asked questions?

If you are changing the report on Tao please stop changing his data.Tao should change his info box to jedi and add on his category on the bottom to redeemed jedi.If you are not the one who is doing this find out who is changing it and put it to the stuff I asked you to do,signed Dex 175.

  • Uh, no. The information, which is provided to me from a reliable source, is correct. Greyman(Paratus) 19:21, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Great Sith War

When you first nominated the Great Sith War for FA, one of Imps objections was the Aleema Keto image, which I had scanned from the Star Wars Encyclopedia. If you preferred that image, and only replaced it to alleviate Imps objection on it, you might want to see if he approves of the new scan File:Aleema Keto.jpg that was taken directly from the comic, and not the encyclopedia. Just a thought, as that other image of her (File:AleemaHS.jpg) doesn't seem to be as good of an image of her, IMO. Just a thought. If not, the article is awesome regardless. - JMAS 05:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Battle of Endor

Thanks a ton for the offer. It would be an honor to work with you. I couldn't start for a few weeks (working on C'baoth, Nil Spaar, Akanah, plus you said not for a few months), but after that any time would be fine. So, if you want to work on it in a few months or so, that'd be good. If we're free sometime in the near future, it might be a good time to start. Again, thanks. Akanah

Sorry to swarm your talk page, but I've fixed your GA objections to Akanah. Don't know how I missed the fact tag... Chack Jadson (Talk) 21:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Ferus and Great Sith War

  • Thanks, but I don't think I'll need it. I believe the anon's intentions were good, and so I tried to explain myself civily on his/her talk page. I'll let you know if the user keeps reverting me. Incidentally, I noticed something wrong with this sectionof Great Sith War. I know it's already a FA, but there are two minor errors. One: Ulic's 2nd visit to Yavin 4 is missing, and there's no mention of how Hoggon takes him there and to Rhen Var. Two, there's no mention of the Conclave at Exis Station at all, and it just says Vima "left the station" without saying what station it is. If I'm wrong, that's fine, but if not, the Conclave seems important enough to be included IMO. Anyway, thanks for the offer, and keep up your great work. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 00:34, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
    • I see what you mean on the unimportance of his second visit. However, I think Hoggon deserves a little mention prior to him killing Ulic: right now it seems to me that the article doesn't really capture how sudden it is—Sylvar's redeemed, and then BANG, Ulic's dead ;). But I don't mind if you don't think it needs mention. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 00:58, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
      • Ah, I see. Thank you for your help, and I'm sorry I couldn't get to it when it was FAN'd. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 01:10, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Darth Krayt Image

  • I know you are an admin, but I uploaded a better quality image, via the policies already established. The revert is just a bad crop and poor quality image. To my understanding all profile pics are to have head neck and shoulders of the character, if possible. The current image is not up to standards with wookiepedia, nor was it even, in the first place, encyclopedic in the least. The image now used is below wookie standards, as you well know, so if it is not to much to ask, can we please revert back to the better version of it? DarthMalus 02:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Ethnographic Study of Wookieepedia

Hello Greyman,

Thank you for the warm, though standardized, welcome.;) I am an undergraduate at MIT in Cambridge, MA and am doing an ethnographic study on the Wookieepedia community. At this point, I am perusing the site, trying to get a feel for the layout and organization. If it is not too much of an inconvenience, I am hoping you could give me some insight into the governance of the site. How involved are contributors in comparison to administrators like yourself? Is there a Wookieepedia community identity? What is your experience as a member of the community? Finally, what relationship does Wookieepedia have to the Star Wars fanon Wiki?

Thank you again for any help.

Sincerely, Ernest Alba

Kreia is no wound in the Force

Hi there. Why did you revert? I didn't get it. If you left the new lines, I'd have assumed I was not to remove old comments, even mine, from a talk page. But you undid the whole edit—and I don't seem to see any reason explained in the edit summary either.--Jinger 02:11, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I guessed that much :) but I thought it's wise to ask before adding the new lines back in. Thank you.--Jinger 02:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

My Zekka Thyne featured page nomination

Hey, my name's Colin. I've been working very hard on the Zekka Thyne page for a featured article nomination, and as of right now, I've added all the pics and info I can get my hands on, read and reported on all the material the character is featured in, and addressed almost every concern that's been voiced.

The only thing that hasn't been addressed is that the article is lacking specific information about the Star Wars Galaxies missions Zekka assigns. Unfortunately, I can't find that information anywhere online, and since I haven't had a SWG account in years, I can't log on and find it myself. I'm hoping somebody will add that eventually, but in the grand scheme of things, I think it's pretty minor information, and would argue it shouldn't hold up its nomination.

I've been told the nomination has potential but doesn't have the votes, and that I should ask some people to review it for me. (I haven't actively asked people yet; I've never really gone through this process before.) I was hoping maybe you'd take a look at it and see if it's worthy of a vote from you? Or give me any further suggestions? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Re:Joruus

Hey, thanks for the picture. Not sure if I'll use it, but I'd like to wait a few days (see if anyone prefers a new infobox image). Thanks a lot for getting that image by the way. Chack Jadson (Talk) 20:18, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

eXCUSE ME?

What nonesense? Who are you? I just got on the computer here at the library and you send me a message. Who are you? What is thisabout lol?

  • The IP goes back to a university. It is quite possible that you warned and blocked an entire library, but that is not really cause for alarm. -LtNOWIS 23:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
    • It's more likely that the IP is spouting nonsense in a bid to avoid banning. -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 23:29, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
  • I, too, looked up the IP address before I made the block, and decided that it was worth blocking it for a week to dissuade the vandal, rather than leave it open. One week isn't long enough for me to be worried, but it is enough to probably get the point across to whoever the vandal was. Greyman(Paratus) 23:31, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

It is needed

I think while we have images that link to these articles we don't use them. And I also want to change that main image of some heroes with an other so that the reader will not be bored to see the same image in his favorite article. George Skywalker 16:17, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

False info

Well I think that the First Civil War article information made me add that image in the infobox. Before I decided to add this image I had already readen all the info. So better not accuse me for destroying the article. It was already destroyed. Second I think it is better to see an article with a false image instead and article without image. Third in the second article the infobox informs me that the conflict began at the Destruction of Malachor V. So I searched an image about the battle. I found it and I added it. Fourth you told me that the image may not link to the other war. Let me tell you that if the battle is a part of the conflict then the image is right to be added. I watch theothers here and I act as them. But if you're here to change what your predessors did then inform me. George Skywalker 16:56, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
