Battle of Endor edit

Hey Fan26! I just wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit to Battle of Endor. The previous way of linking was the correct way of linking. By using double brackets (i.e. [[page name]]), it allows us to internally link to other pages on Wookieepedia rather than using a hyperlink. So, for example, [[Battle of Endor]] becomes Battle of Endor. If you're still seeing a red link on the Battle of Endor page, even though you created the page that was being linked to, try clearing your cache. Template:Verify

Hey. Just so you know, {{Verify}} doesn't necessarily mean that something is being accused of being fanon. What it primarily means is that the page requires sources. Fanon and Sourcing

Hi! No worries about the Ion Control page, as Brandon said, the {{Verify}} tag simply means that the article in question needs to be sourced properly in order to be considered reliable. If the source editor syntax for the wiki is a bit confusing, use the visual editor for the time being, and focus on expanding articles rather than creating them. Even I used the visual editor at first! So don't worry if it isn't as "fancy" or complex-looking as the source editor. You'll soon learn what it means sooner or later. (Usually I just simply copy and paste templates and replace them with the correct info for whatever page I'm creating in the source editor).

To answer any questions regarding what the "Sources", "Appearances" and "Notes and references" headers at the bottom of every page means, it can be summed up like this.

The "Sources" section is simply resources that are not written in an in-universe point of view, such as guidebooks and any Star Wars Databank entry. They are listed in release order based on publication date/film premiere and etc. Star Wars Databank entries always go last as we don't have a date of final publication, however, the old Star Wars Encyclopedia entries are always considered to be dated July 1st, 2014, which was the day it went defunct.

"Appearances" are for in-universe works, such as novels, TV shows and movies. They are placed chronologically on the Star Wars timeline.

"Notes and references" is an amalgam of the two that simply allow the reader to check what source and/or appearance said text in the main article came from.

The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Update template

  • I suppose so. However, since the article is both a stub and missing crucial information from a recently released product, would', Template:Update be more appropriate?
    • I'm not sure it really matters which one, I think we can allsee that it isn't fully updated with everything from the novel just yet, I added the stub a few days back before the novel was released because even then there was still stuff missing from other sources of information --Lewisr (talk) 18:18, July 26, 2017 (UTC)

What I'd recommend doing is creating a page on Wookieepedia called User:Fan26/sig and then adding the non-image version to that. Then, go to your preferences and replace your signature code with the following new version:
{{subst:#ifexist:User:Fan26/sig|{{subst:User:Fan26/sig}}|[[File:80px-PMCS Red Snifit Idle Animated.gif|50px]] ''Yo.''-[[User:Fan26]] ([[User talk:Fan26|Talk]])
That will render the non-image version on Wookieepedia while continuing to show the version with the image on all other wikis. reconstituted Sith Empire

Is it really correct to use the term "reconstituted Sith Empire" in relation to TOR articles? That adjective never appears in the game or any supplementary source, it was fan-made by this wiki to differentiate it from other Sith Empires. But while an extra clarification is useful when talking about the broad galactic history, in the context of the game's time period there is only one Sith Empire, with no room for ambiguity. By changing "Sith Empire" to "reconstituted Sith Empire" you're implying that it's a more accurate term, while that is not the case. --560548 (talk) 09:36, June 1, 2018 (UTC)

Maybe stop?

You might want to stop trying to add the TOR project template to every single TOR article. There's no rule, policy, or precedent that even suggests a WookieeProject template needs to be added to every related article. TOR is so expansive, it probably has the single-most number of subjects of any Star Wars project ever. It's so big, in fact, we have to use a subpage on the TOR article just to load the Appearances section, so it's absolutely insane to try and add this template to every single article. Well we have specialised admin on Russian Wookiepedia who solves all the technical issues. It seems admins here don't know how infobox actually works and how to change it, but I could ask our Fixer-admin what should be added to css and where and then tell directly to some admin here. Hi, Fan26. While we certainly appreciate your involvement in voting on Good article nominations, please be aware that GANs only require a maximum of two non-AC user votes to pass. Any additional non-AC user votes past two are superfluous and don't make the nomination pass any more quickly. While it never hurts to have more eyes reviewing nominations, ultimately your time and contributions are better spent reviewing and voting on nominations that are still in need of non-AC votes (any nominations with 0 or 1 user votes). RE:Eternal Alliance infobox

Sorry for the late answer, being busy lately. Basically yes they were primarly a military organization, the oranization infobox would be more appropiate than the military unit one, but that would've been before Iokath and the start of the traitor conspiracy, since they did became government. We will see how the Ossus storyline treats the Alliance now that it has lost power in the galaxy, maybe they do become now an organization more than a government, or maybe even the start of a new/smaller Alliance that sides with either the Imps or the Pubs.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:15, November 3, 2018 (UTC)

Last Shot

Battlefront is a different situation because its a game that spans over 60 years. Last Shot is a novel primarily set after ROTJ with sections in time periods beforehand, so generally things are placed when they appear in the story. Admittedly I haven't been absolutely consistent with either my own placing of things, especially with things in Thrawn: Alliances. The real problem is not knowing entirely when things are set or when they're set compared to other things, the Lando and L3 scenes in Last Shot are set 15 years before 7 ABY (so in 8 BBY), which is impossible because L3 is dead, so how long before is it really? We don't know when exactly the Clone Wars sections of Thrawn: Alliances take place compared with TCW/Dark Disciple/Son of Dathomir/Kanan comic. Sorry kinda rambling so I'll stop, hopefully this somewhat answered the question, if not then say and I'll try again haha --Lewisr (talk) 21:05, December 7, 2018 (UTC)

TORCite

I am bit rusty on the TORcite matter but I think it's possible that TORCite can be used there (by some coding-way of removing the template mission parameters). However, as neither of us knows if that is so we should allow the standard citation and apply only the TORCite when the content is related to a mission. No need for the citation stub in my opinion. NPC Articles

Hey Fan26. I noticed you produced several NPC-based articles such as Eternal Empire trooper. I understand this is a delicate matter but we usually try to stay away from creating articles out of this type unless they're mentioned in some quest or dialogue. Even Cartel stuff is hard to process through but with NPCs we have to be thorough. Imagine if we added an article for every NPC there is in the game ahah. Anyway, I see you created those some months ago and I'm wondering if you'd be okay with their deletion, unless of course you have an objection but we'll talk it through.   • The Eternal Empire trooper, Eternal Empire scout, Eternal Empire commando, Eternal Empire Special Operator and a few others are nothing but random NPCs named by game mechanics. What makes them any notable? Winterz (talk) 14:19, April 11, 2019 (UTC)
    • Why is Special Operator capitalized? I'm perfectly fine with trying to record as much as we can but I really feel those names are nothing but game mechanics. Imagine if we followed that reasoning with the Empire: There'd be Imperial Ambushers, Imperial Scouts, Imperial Special Units, Imperial Cold Assault Troopers, Imperial Cold Assault Commandos, Imperial Combat Armsmen, Imperial Combat Soldiers, Imperial Command Guards, Imperial Commando Cines, Imperial Cryo Gunner, Imperial Demolition Berserkers, Imperial Depot Guards, Imperial Enforcers, Imperial Escorts, Imperial Entrance Guards, Imperial Forward Guardians and so on, so on; there's a ton more. It's your choice of course, but I think our value and time can be used in recording more useful things and from your project page you do seem to have plenty of useful redlinks you want to fill in. Regardless, trooper types can certainly be referred to in the military or army articles. Their relevance is being an extension of those, nothing else. It would be cool if we got in-game images too! Question on sourcing

I have a question regarding sourcing. In Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition, it says that later models of B1 battle droid did not require a Droid Control Ship to operate.
