One of the children: "Hello?"
Trennis: "Oh, hi. How are you doing?"
Bartol: "We thought you might be hungry. It's bucco bread. Baked fresh today."
The Gran: "You do eat, don't you?"
Trennis: "Heh. Yeah, we eat. That's really kind of you, but you don't have to give us your bread. We have food of our own."
―The Gran child and Bartol offer food to Keeve Trennis[1]

A Gran child lived as part of a colony on the Outer Rim planet Sedri Minor during the High Republic Era. In 232 BBY, members of the Jedi Order visited the colony after discovering a shipment of grain that had come from it. As the Gran and the human boy Bartol saw the Jedi's ship land, they eagerly made their way to the Jedi, where Bartol spoke with them.

After more Jedi arrived on Sedri Minor, the Gran and Bartol brought them bucco bread thinking they may be hungry. Speaking with Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis, the Gran asked her if Jedi did eat, which the Jedi confirmed and stated the two children's offering was considerate and took the bread. Shortly after, the colony's speaker, Kalo Sulman, arrived to speak with Trennis, and after he dismissed concerns about disappearances on Sedri Minor, he led several members of the colony, including the Gran, away from the Jedi Knight.

A Gran child lived during the High Republic Era.[1] By 232 BBY,[3] they were part of a colony under the protection of the Hutt Clan on Sedri Minor, a planet[1] located in the Galactic Frontier[4] within the Outer Rim.[5] That year,[6] three individuals living in the colony disappeared[1] after they were captured by the Drengir[4]sentient carnivorous plants that fed on all living things—that had infested the crops on Sedri Minor.[7]

After the Jedi Order discovered a derelict Hutt ship carrying grain from the colony that had its crew slaughtered by the Nihil[1] pirates,[7] Jedi Master Sskeer and Kotabi[2] Jedi Knight[7] Ceret were dispatched to visit the colony. As the Jedi's ship landed on Sedri Minor, the Gran and[2] the human boy[1] Bartol saw it and excitedly went to it. As the two Jedi exited the ship, the children stood at its entry ramp and Bartol called out to them stating they were Jedi, which Sskeer confirmed to[2] him[7] was the case. The Jedi were then approached by[2] the colony's leader, Speaker[7] Kalo Sulman, who informed them they were not welcome.[2]

Uncovering the truth

"I told you, Reeta. We'll deal with this ourselves."

Ceret went missing after attempting to help the Rodian[2] boy Julus—who had also disappeared—leading[1] their[7] bond-twin Terec,[2] Jedi Master Avar Kriss, and Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis to also travel to Sedri Minor. Feeling that the Jedi would be hungry, the Gran and Bartol brought a basket of freshly baked bucco bread to the Jedi[1] flagship[8] Ataraxia. As the two children arrived at the Ataraxia, they saw Trennis standing outside and one of them called out to[1] her,[2] and she responded by asking the two how they were. Bartol informed Trennis that the two thought the Jedi might be hungry and told her about the bread, with the Gran asking her if they ate. In response, Trennis noted the Jedi did eat, and added that it was really kind of them to bring them food, but they did not need to as the Jedi had their own. She did, however, take the basket.[1]

Following this, Trennis was approached by a Rodian couple—Reeta and[1] Neeso,[9] who were Julus' parents—who had also brought her bread, with Neeso noting that the two children had had the same idea as them. The Gran then stood as Trennis spoke with the Rodians about the recent events that had been taking place on Sedri Minor. Eventually, Sulman arrived and spoke with Trennis. After he dismissed the concerns of Reeta and Neeso, the speaker led the two, the Gran, and Bartol away from the Jedi, claiming the colony would deal with the situation themselves. Trennis then set out to investigate what had been happening, and along with Bartol, eventually learned about the Drengir's presence on the planet and that they had been behind the disappearances.[1]

Shortly after, the Hutt[4] warlord Myarga Anjiliac Atirue[7] arrived on Sedri Minor to honor the agreement between the Hutts and the colony. As the Hutt forces and Jedi battled, a group of the colony's members—including an adult Gran—confronted Sulman about what had been happening, preventing him from fleeing the planet. The Jedi and Hutt forces ultimately sided together and the Drengir retreated.[9]

They wore a gray shirt, a light brown vest, black shoes, and a sand-colored scarf.[1]
