"I was wondering if…No. You came here to pay your respects. It is not appropriate for me to ask. I apologize."
―Ordea, to Kelnacca[2]

Tozil was a terrestrial planet located in the Mid Rim Territories. Around 149 BBY, at a Jedi temple on Tozil, the Jedi Yarzion Vell was dying. His Padawan, Ordea, was worried about who would complete their training, so Vell told them about a similar experience he had in which Jedi Master Kelnacca completed his training after his previous Master, Lulad, had died. Kelnacca then arrived on Tozil and Vell died soon after. After his death, Ordea and Kelnacca held a funeral for Vell, and Kelnacca agreed to complete Ordea's training.

Description

Tozil was a terrestrial planet[2] in the Tozil system, which was located in the Tashtor sector of the Mid Rim Territories. It lay in grid square J-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Tozil had a Type I atmosphere[3] breathable by multiple species. The planet had mountains and a forest with green and purple plants.[2]

History

"But, Master Yarzion, if the Force has decided this is your time…"
"Who will complete your training? Heh. I asked the same question when my own Master passed…"
―Ordea and Yarzion Vell[2]
Vell told Ordea about his training.

Vell told Ordea about his training.

Around 149 BBY,[4] the Jedi Yarzion Vell was dying while in a Jedi temple on Tozil. His Padawan, Ordea, was concerned about who would complete their training after he died, so Vell told them about a similar experience he had after his own Master, Lulad, had died. Vell explained that he had become the Padawan of Jedi Master Kelnacca and told Ordea about his training under him. Vell discussed several missions he had went on and also explained the meaning of his tattoos.[2]

After he told Ordea about how he had been knighted, Kelnacca arrived at the temple, and Vell died soon after. Kelnacca then carried Vell's body outside, where he and Ordea held a funeral. As they watched Vell's body being burned, Ordea began to ask Kelnacca if he would finish their training, but then stopped and apologized before walking away. However, Kelnacca followed them and ignited his lightsaber, agreeing to become their Master.[2]

Inhabitants

"What did I tell you, my ever-anxious Padawan? Do not fret."
―Yarzion Vell, to Ordea[2]

Around 149 BBY,[4] Yarzion Vell and Ordea were stationed on Tozil.[2]

Locations

A Jedi temple was located on Tozil. The inside of the temple had a bed used by Vell that was surrounded by candles. The temple had a tower that widened at the top along with multiple smaller towers around it.[2]
