Jedi funerals[1] were given to Jedi who had perished and were subsequently cremated, provided their bodies were intact.[2]
History
In 32 BBY,[3] Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn was given a funeral in the capital city of Theed on the planet Naboo folllowing the Invasion of Naboo after Jinn was killed by the Sith Lord Darth Maul during the Battle of Naboo.[2]
In 20 BBY,[3] during the Clone Wars, a funeral was held for Jedi Master Even Piell on the planet Lola Sayu after he was killed by an anooba whilst escaping from the Separatist prison known as the Citadel.[4]
In 9 BBY,[3] Jedi Knight Cal Kestis held a funeral for Jedi Masters Eno Cordova, Cere Junda, and the fallen Jedi Bode Akuna on Tanalorr.[5]
In 4 ABY,[3] Anakin Skywalker was known to have been laid to rest in this way by his son on Endor.[6]
