This article is about the canon astronomical object. You may be looking for its Star Wars Legends continuity counterpart, also known as "Tomark," or the Legends celestial body Thomork, which has been mislabeled as "Tomark".

Tomark was an astronomical object[3] located in the Ividal sector's Tomark system[1] in the Slice[2] portion of the Mid Rim Territories. It lay in the grid square Q-14 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] By 2 BBY,[4] it served as an operations headquarters for an organized rebellion secretly led by Senator Mon Mothma against the Galactic Empire. Tomark was noted on a map of the galaxy that listed rebel safe worlds, starfighter hubs at level five or higher, operations headquarters, shadow planets, and deep space caches. The map was sent to Mothma and was ultimately included in the non-electronic archive known as The Rebel Files by archivist Hendri Underholt.[3]

Behind the scenes

Tomark was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Rebel Files, written by Daniel Wallace.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet[5] Tomark II first appeared in "The Ando Project," a roleplaying game adventure authored by Chris Doyle for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The adventure was published in November 1996 in the eleventh issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine.[6] The shortened name "Tomark" was introduced by Wallace's 2014 reference book Star Wars: Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide.[5]
