Tieos was an agriworld[1] in the Tieos system,[2] one of hundreds located within the Abrion sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Sometime after the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance, Tieos and the rest of the sector were led in defection from the Republic to the Confederacy by Senator Esu Rotsino, who had represented the sector in the Galactic Senate. Following its defection, Rotsino went on to represent the planet alongside the rest of the Abrion sector in the Separatist Senate, while its supply of foodstuffs were desired to be utilized by the Confederacy in order to force starving star systems into joining them.[1]
Behind the scenes
Tieos was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Tieos was first mentioned in The Star Wars Sourcebook, a 1987 reference book authored by Bill Slavicsek and Curtis Smith for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games.[3] The planet later made its first appearance in Star Wars: Rebellion, a video game published by LucasArts in 1998.[4]
