The Conservator, also known as The Caretaker of Manaan,[1] (c. 3625 BBY)[2] was a Selkath male who lived during the Third Galactic War.[1]
Biography
He was a member of the Selkath isolationist group known as Syphus Collective, which followed the teachings of Narlan Syphus. By 3625 BBY,[2] the Conservator had gained control of the Syphus Collective and stopped using his real name. The circumstances surrounding his rise to leader are unclear, and many thought he used assassination to climb the ranks. During the Invasion of Manaan both the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire considered him a nuisance, and the Empire sent Krallet Division to deal with him and his organisation, however they failed. The Selkath artefact smuggler Shak Los wanted the Conservator dealt with so he could raid the Temple of the Progenitor (which the Syphus Collective were using as a base) for artefacts to smuggle off-world.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Conservator is only directly confronted if the player chooses to side with the imperials, where Shak Los sends the player on a mission to clear out the Temple of the Progenitor in exchange for a map to Kolto supplies. During that quest, the player has the option to kill the Conservator or turn him into a spy for the Empire.
