Doctor Narlan Syphus was a Male Selkath professor who taught at Ahto University. They taught that Manaan was a collective 'organism', and that the Galaxy, with its corrupting influences, would endanger this organism. These teaching were highly influential and spawned a Selkath isolationist movement which called themselves the Syphus Collective. After peacefully preaching Doctor Syphus' ideas for many years, after the Manaan government refused to be neutral in the upcoming Third Galactic War, the group turned into a terrorist movement to achieve their goals.[1]
