The Temple of the Progenitor was a sacred temple in the Asutvu Rift, deep beneath the oceans of the planet Manaan. The temple was named after the legendary[1] firaxan shark[2] known to the Selkath as the Progenitor.[1] The temple was one of the most sacred sites in Selkath culture, it was believed to be the origin point of the Selkath's worship of the great firaxan shark.[3]
Doctor Ayturr Odock was invited to visit the temple during her visit to Manaan. Odock believed that no outsider has ever set foot inside the temple, and to be invited to the temple was an honor and privilege.[3]
