"Tauntaun" is the twelfth and final episode of the webseries Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures.[1] The episode was released on StarWarsKids.com on November 18, 2021,[2] alongside the series' eleventh episode, "Rancor."[1]
Official description
Aree is taken on a wild ride when he tries to tame a tauntaun on the icy plains of Hoth.
Plot summary
SF-R3 ("Aree") visits Hoth on behalf of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts to investigate how to tame tauntauns. He says that tauntauns are known to be as sweet as jogan fruit pies and believes it will be easy. Aree mounts a tauntaun but falls off the first time. The second time, he attaches a saddle and bridle to the tauntaun. The creature objects to his presence and throws him against a snowy wall.
The third time, Aree manages to coax a tauntaun with a piece of jogan fruit pie attached to a hook. The creature pursues the hook but runs into a stalactite at the mouth of the cave, which causes Aree's head to roll off. After Aree fixes his head off, the creature takes a liking to him and gives him a ride around the cave several times. Aree concludes that tauntauns are cute before the screen lists some fun facts about tauntauns.
