"Gergilla" is the sixteenth episode of the webseries Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures. The episode was released on StarWarsKids.com on January 24, 2023, alongside the series' fifteenth episode, "Convor."[1]
Official description
After a crash landing, Aree tries to find his way by attempting to communicate with a massive yet friendly gergilla.
Plot summary
After crashlanding their starship on the planet Vadran, Aree and CAM encounter a Gergilla. Aree and CAM are initially frightened but the creature turns out to be friendly. Aree asks the Gergilla for help in finding the nearest settlement in order to fix their starship, using a mixture of hand signals and a hologram.
Aree uses a sand drawing but that seemingly throws the Gergilla into a rage. The gergilla pounds its fists into the ground. At Aree's suggestion, CAM hovers into the sky and realizes that the Gergilla was drawing a map. Aree thanks the creature for giving them directions. The Gergilla gives them a ride with Aree remarking that persistence can sometimes be a little too fast.

Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures — "Porgs" features porgs on Batuu, a species that Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge establishes were not present on the planet Batuu until the Resistance brought them there between the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Therefore, porgs must have been introduced to Batuu between those stories, which corresponds to 34 ABY per Star Wars: Timelines, meaning that the events of Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures take place during or after 34 ABY.
