Taka Shier was located in an eponymous star system[1] within the Slice portion[2] of the Outer Rim Territories. Situated in the Tharin sector at the coordinates S-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] it had a native population that resided in hives. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, squadrons of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, led by Major Soran Keize, burned the hives of the natives at Taka Shier. The 204th pilot Yrica Quell was present for the attack, and was later subjected to mental visions of the events by Force energies from a tower in the Cerberon system[3] in 5 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Taka Shier appeared through flashbacks in the 2020 novel Shadow Fall: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the second installment of the Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy which was written by Alexander Freed.[3]
