The Taka Shier system was located in the Tharin sector within the intersection of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It lay in grid square S-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The star system contained Taka Shier, the home of a population that lived in hives. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing attacked and burned hives at Taka Shier.[3]
